Sadly music elitism is still an issue on this board more often than not.

Respect to STYG for going out on this & expanding their audience. They have shown through the years they'll tour with almost anyone. Kids in that audience def. need to hear the kinds of things they have to say.

Not the biggest MIW fan, though my best friend is a massive fan. They always put on a fun show.

I got to see Lisa Fischer with Grand Baton last week, performing at beautiful Koerner Hall. She even responded to me on Facebook!

Signed up for event staff again because of volunteers dropping out. They added Three 6 Mafia and Sphongle, so that's a thing.

Yeah, three of my concerts have been postponed, including Rage & RTJ. I'm sure there will be more. It sucks, but at least most of them are being rescheduled for later and not straight up cancelled.

I have a strong feeling my Foals/Local Natives show in Boston 6/6 will be cancelled. I'm cautiously optimistic that my RATM show at MSG in August will be able to go on.

Not sure where else to put this (refuse to put it in the shitty music thread, thank you very much) but a YouTube channel has surfaced providing a bunch of old nu-metal live videos from the late 90s and early 00s.

Sure, let's turn this thread into meme's of "lack of concerts" now. This thread won't be used for anything else in the next 12 months anyway, lol.

Maybe it's because I've spent enough time both in Texas AND at concerts, and maybe it's because I used to take and edit pictures for a living, but I have NEVER been able to see a concert in that farm photo. Not if I glance at it quickly. Not if I stare at it. I just don't see it.

My favorite venue in Boston, Great Scott, is closing for good. Sucks. Here's a couple pictures from some of my favorite shows there:

I miss concerts so much right now. I even miss all the annoying shit about them. I didn't have too many planned at the start of the year, but I kicked off my 2020 with seeing Wednesday 13, who has a really great theatrical show right now and traveling out to St. Louis to see Green Day at the All Star Game performance. Now, I'm just watching footage of past shows I've been too and wishing I was there again.

I only seen one show this year before it cancelled the rest of my stuff. I was scheduled to see Mayhem, Abbath and Gatecreeper at the start of April but alas cancelled. I also toiled with wanting to see Slipknot and Code Orange in June but I doubt that's happening, glad I never bought a ticket.

Speaking of concerts: Saudi Arabia has purchased a half billion dollar stake (that's roughly 5.7%) of Live Nation.

So now every time you go to a Live Nation show? Think about the crimes against humanity SA has committed, and know that you're contributing to the future of that country.

2020 just keeps getting weirder and weirder.

Arkansas is going to host first "socially distant" concert.

Here is what the seating chart looks like:

Yea. I saw that. It sucks. The same thing happened to my favorite restaurant in that area, Sunset Grill & Tap. Landlord just randomly decides not to renew the lease. Paradise Rock Club is my favorite there though.

I just saw Feeder at Great Scott on Mother's Day last year. Otherwise I saw Health once, Ours once, and Mellowdrone twice in addition to Feeder.
