@heavenly_bearded I prefer proper silkscreening to what I've received in the past from Cafepress (although @sheepdean tells me their stuff is okay these days), but the challenge with silkscreening is you kind of have to know in advance how many shirts you want to make, in what sizes, and in what colors. I've danced that dance in the past, and gotten bitten by people who say they want a shirt and then don't follow up. This is a big reason why I've avoided doing NIN Hotline or ETS shirts over the years. Teespring helps alleviate some of that hassle, but unfortunately the matrix of selections you can make isn't as dynamic as you or I would like. You have to select a shirt type and a shirt color, and basically make a single style of shirt.Originally Posted by Leviathant
If either of these shirt runs are successful, I should have enough leftover money to look into working more directly with a printer to do something less... unified? Right now, the stats tell me ETS has about 900 'active members', and if 5% of those members buy shirts, I think I'll be pretty lucky. We just don't have the kind of bulk that would make it easier for me to offer wider selection without shifting to something like Cafepress, which is generally more expensive and not as high quality (as far as the printing goes).
Also, the cool girls NIN shirts only came into being around 2005/2006. And yeah, they're way cooler than the mens shirts of the era, no doubt. But prior to that? Hanes Beefy Tees for EVERYTHING.
