    Pantera

Any Pantera fans in the house? I just recently acquired a PanterA fan's WET DREAM! Not going to reveal a source as to not get anyone in trouble but I have the Pro Tools Multi-Track sessions for the ENTIRE Far Beyond Driven album. I am like a kid in a candy store. It has tons extras hidden all through out. There are vocal and guitar outtakes, warmups and an extra "song" where its just Dimebag singing very drunkenly about a one car family. I want to share some of this but just don't want to get the people I got it from in any trouble. Just to prove I am not bullshitting here is a random vocal take of Phil doing making up dumb shit to the rhythm of Becoming. http://soundcloud.com/sirlondonclean...-comedic-vocal Any else interested in this?

    And......no response yet.

Reinventing The Steel is a guilty pleasure of mine, regardless of what anyone says. Kinda hard to say which my fav album is, but it might be Far Beyond Driven. Followed by Vulgar, Trendkill, then Cowboys.

I also think 101 is one of the best live records ever.

I am glad people are as interested as this as me and I want to spread the joy. That being said I am just not sure the legality of it all and I also don't want this to be in mass circulation. The whole file is something like 14 gigs and I am not sure that I want to upload that or if I even want to share all of it. Don't worry though, I promise to post at least a few songs in full in time. I swear I am not trying to dick you guys around but today is my 29th birthday and I am going out of town for the weekend. I will work on posting some songs when I get back (right now it is all just one pro tools session with all the songs back to back). Until then here is the drunken Dimebag song! http://soundcloud.com/sirlondonclean...one-car-family Enjoy friends!!!

Its cool dude, I dont think this would go mass as long as you PM people links, I wont leak nor trade this since you are asking it not to be made available. and if space is a problem, I guess little by little. '

Thanks again brotha, I am cranking Pantera tunes as we speak, and happy birthday.

What do you guys think of "One Car Family"? I live in Dallas and have a super soft spot for Dimebag so it makes me SUPER happy to hear him drunk and having a good time!

I thought I was being clever and not posting this to an actual PanterA board but I just now thought about how avid nin fans are at spreading rare shit! hahaha Don't take that as I won't post some stuff when I get back but that did just occur to me. As of right now I don't even have Pro Tools on my computer (I use Logic myself) so it will take some time to split it all up. I will be chatting over the weekend but don't expect anything new till next week! I am so stoked about this and hardly anyone I know cares so its nice to be amongst like-minded people!

You also have to realize that if you ask for it not to spread, we also will respect your wishes.

Besides, not every NIN fan is a Pantera fan.

Because it is a pro tools session. It is also just one single session with every song back to back. I want to split each song up and share a few at a time.

Now if someone gets this for Trendkill I will trade it all and then some!!!! I also did a PanterA rarities compilation a while back you can get here: rapidshare.com username - sirlondoncleanlily password - onecarfamily
I can't figure out how to post the direct link (probably because im drunk) so that is just my login for now.

This is the MP3 version with "One Car Family" tacked onto the end in WAV format. I have the entire collection in FLAC (besides tracks 22 through 26 of which I don't believe that FLACs exist). ENJOY!!!

P.S. There is actually a FLAC of track 23 out there I just can't find it. Any who has it let me know so I can add it to the collection. I am also into anything else you think might should be included!

The Great Southern Trendkill is awesome, no idea what anyone's talking about with Far Beyond Driven being the last best. TSK is some badass shit and the anger and pain in Anselmo's lyrics and vocals really show. I'm sure we'll see a remaster in 2016.

I wish the FBD release would've had something better than an already available live album for the bonus disc. Oh well.

Pantera is one of the few bands that, IMHO, did not put out one bad or mediocre album (the early hair band stuff not withstanding obviously- CFH and beyond...). Obviously they had they're signature albums and people have their own faves but they were all fucking great.

I still love love this band. Pretty amazing how popular they were and how much respect they got despite going through the "alternative" years and having music that's fairly brutal (read: not radio or family friendly).

I like Reinventing the Steel mainly for Dime's ridiculous riffing.

The only Pantera album I believe to be genuinely great is Far Beyond Driven: they transcended their thrash roots and made what is still one of the heaviest albums of all time, not just sonically, but emotionally and conceptually as well.

Great Southern Trendkill was a crushing disappointment to me: I felt they'd lost it bigtime. Trendkill? Seriously? Trends are worth attacking in an album title? They lost their focus and vision and got caught up in their success, in pettiness; the music is fragmented, it didn't come together anymore, did not gel into massive songs. After that it was all the way downhill. Reinventing the Steel has some good moments, but the greatness was gone.

Cowboys from Hell sounds like generic thrash to me. Vulgar Display of Power has some great great stuff on it, but I feel that FBD is where everything was taken to the next level and beyond. The riffing on FBD is insane, it's perfect.

Down, Superjoint Ritual, Damageplan, Hellyeah: none of it comes close.
