    a) I think that's a matter of opinion. I like her voice, I listen to Flyleaf (I'm sad that they're a Christian band though)
    b) 'Raped' is such a lovely way of describing something. Please don't do it again.
    raped=destroyed now

    the christian thing is like a flood...nearly every metalcoreband I like is full of religion and sometimes it´s like a cult...I hope Reznor won´t turn his face to god in his old days.

    Quick offtopic: it also means raped. If you know the synonyms, use them to avoid certain debates you'll inevitably lose.

    I actually love his sentiment about The Fragile right there. Trent's always had a bit of sarcasm with the despair in his music - it's not a new thing, but I'm only realizing recently because I've only been a fan from 2005 onward. LOL but the only hip-hop relevance could be Dr. Dre's input on "Even Deeper" and the rest of the less-rock band, more-beats-heavy songs.

    After seeing that, I knew that I'd eventually post this picture here too. It just reminded me of this Reznor as a fan of Mario games.

    I was on a real NIN kick last night. Hadn't listened to them in a while (not counting TGWTDT OST or the times they've shuffled on randomly) as I've been doing that thing where I listen to the same core bands over and over again. It was really good to give them a listen again—'Beside You in Time' in particular. Still a great band, even after avoiding them for so long.

    I realized that I can run what seems like forever as long as I have a solid NIN live playlist going. I also decided to give The Slip a listen today. Pretty much the first time ive listened to it through since it came out. Its grown on me since its release. Nothing beats the Pre-with teeth era though.

    A couple of weeks ago, I ended up working with a friend of a friend who I hadn't yet met, but heard was a big NIN fan. After chatting for a while, something became clear...he was the guy who leaked all the rehearsal tracks. I hadn't listened to them in ages, so I went back to the hotel that night and plowed through all of them again. Damn...I forgot how good they are.

    You could certainly feel the love at the 31st second of this video. He's definitely something though.

    I thought this was interesting enough to bring up again.

    woops, forgot "Home." together, we're stranger!

    i also added the list to Grohl's ninwiki page, so no one ever has to ask in an ETS thread ever again ever.

    I like the version of Sanctified on Purest Feeling more than the one that ended up on Pretty Hate Machine. Its more live sounding. IAlso Maybe Just Once is extremely underrated. There is a really nice song there. I know its not dark, but it could is brilliant. And a bit of a lost opportunity. Its still great for what it is.

    Very much agreed with both of those. PF's Sanctified is so much more dynamic and interesting, I don't know what the hell John Fryer was thinking. It makes me wonder how an earlier Something I Can Never Have could have been, as that's another John Fryer co-production, and in my opinion resulted in a flat-out boring track.

    I love Maybe Just Once, and I think it could have been a big hit in the '80s. May be a good thing that it didn't, though, as it could have resulted in a very different direction for NIN. If nothing else, the studio might have been even more controlling.

    Maybe Just Once should've been on PHM-R.
    Or, if we ever get a PHM DE, I really hope Purest Feeling gets remastered and put on there.
