Tickets have been on StubHub since Friday as well. Dunno but apparently there are no rules/laws enforcing it.

For the Tool concerts in May, they were also listed early on those sites. I think this is just common now in the concert business (whether due to Ticketmaster selling tickets before hand to their "affiliate" resellers or just anticipating inventory, I don't know).

Heavy traffic for the off chance the member presale includes regular ticket sales versus $500/ea VIP packages I guess.

If anyone is interested in VIP packages and can't get through the site, just go here. Perhaps it will require your member login. Otherwise I don't see how this is exclusive to TA members with that site accessible to anyone.

wow, da real MVP. It asks for a name but does not ask for login info. Can confirm east cost tickets are live.

So for those of you east coasters who purchased VIP tickets:

Definitely no mention of non-VIP tickets anywhere, correct?

Where there some bullshit fees, or was 499.98 your final price?

same here, that was rather quick and painless, see ya there

like I said-- it's not a bad deal and I'm happy i didn't have to contend with scalpers or support one to get a ticket

but now... lol where are the seats?? hope I'm AT LEAST within the first ten rows; final price was $517; there was some BS fees, whatever, I'm just happy to see tool again and hear these new songs live! TOOOLLLLLL! can't wait \m/

Yes I saw nowhere to confirm membership unless they do it after you've already purchased. Honestly I think this is absolute SHIT for members. Way to fuck over your most loyal fans. No presale for regular tickets is bad enough. But you advertise exclusivity for fan club for VIP packages and those that joined for it probably feel duped. Unless they are checking names to accounts after the fact. I doubt that. Sales are supposed to be final. I'd imagine fraud if they took your package for not being a TA member and sold it to someone else without a refund.

didnt purchase, but there’s about $17 in fees. Not a big deal IMO when you’re plunking down $500 already, and TM will have the same fees for regular seats.

I like how it says "band members will vary by show"-- I can totally see mjk not showing up for any of the appearances haha
Fixed lol. The only times I've ever heard of Maynard showing up for any kind of VIP thing is at the Caduceus wine tastings for Puscifer/APC tours and even that wasn't guaranteed.

I'm so pissed I overslept and missed the Toolarmy sale this morning, but now that I'm seeing it was only VIP (wtf?) that makes me feel like a little less of a dumbass. I'll be in need of three tickets anyway.

I know it's a very small percentage of the overall price, but still, fuck you for adding a processing fee to your $500 ticket.

For people that have done VIP, I am guessing it's frowned upon to bring something in the hopes that a band member would sign it?

Ænima had a muddy mix and people love it. I'd also argue that it suits the album, while the clarity of FI suits itself.
As for VIP... as much as I'd love to, I can't justify a $517 ticket when I'm already driving to Chicago and back, plus booking a hotel room. I just hope Friday's public sale isn't a total and complete shit show, but I know it will be. Wish there was a regular/non-VIP pre-sale...

I noticed on the event page for the Phoenix concert it says no audio or video recording... but it doesn’t say anything about pictures. Should I assume this means no pictures too? I’m not trying to get booted for taking a simple picture.

In May, there were tons of warnings about photos and videos--signs on every few chairs and verbal announcements every so often. Basically, I was afraid to take my phone out of my pocket when the band was onstage (so I didn't) because I read plenty of stories of people getting kicked out of the venue for taking video/photos. Edit: But Maynard let everyone pull out their phones for Stinkfist.

Yup, leave your phones in your pockets. Not worth it, and people have been kicked out of the venue without a first verbal warning.

As for Friday tickets... not looking forward to that either. It’s probably gonna suck.

Looks like Tool pulled a bait and switch on the Toolarmy memberships. Told them that the preorder would be exclusive to Toolarmy members but then made it open to the public instead. Masses of people are issuing chargebacks for fraud.

Meh, everything says no video or audio recording nowdays, and I could care less, it has never deterred me. Just don't get caught.

That's quite the risk you're running, especially if you paid $517 for a VIP ticket. They WILL eject you without warning, I saw it happen multiple times at an APC show in 2017.
