Going to the Barclay's show tonight! Pumped!
Glad to see they're still dusting off older stuff like Spoiler: Swamp Song
The FOMO was strong after bailing on a last minute ticket for Newark so I grabbed one for Barclays tonight. I was fine with my decision to skip it until I started trolling Instagram.
Got GA tickets to the Brisbane show today. No GA seats in Australia. Standing only. Curious who'll be supporting here.
It's been a long time since Tool have been in consideration for a Grammy, but "7empest" is up for best Metal Performance, and "Fear Inoculum" for Best Rock Song. In the event either of those are televised awards, maybe Danny can get a chance to thank Satan again lol
Last night before Stinkfist at the Brooklyn show they brought up the house lights and Maynard introduced Alex Grey as their special guest. Which by itself is fine and normal...they're all friends. The weird part, to me, was THANK YOU ALEX GREY projected on the screen and the cult-like vibe. It was very...I dunno...off-putting.
Last night's show in Brooklyn was amaazzzziiinnnnggggggg. Justin's bass was so muddy and dirty, it was delicious.
The new songs definitely sound better live, I have a new appreciation for them now.
Is there a cut-off date for the reason FI (the album) isn’t nominated this year?
My deluxe CD finally updated to being shipped.
The thing you've gotta remember is that these are about mainstream success and popularity. Album of the Year doesn't mean "which band wrote all of their own content and did the best job at it," it means "which band OR team of producers and writers cranked out the catchiest bops that the most people got hooked on". Which, in a sense, really isn't that unfair - there is absolutely a level of skill involved in creating something that tons of people can't get out of their heads. If it was as easy as people seem to claim it is, there would be new hits being released every single day. And with all due respect to the phenomenal talent that every member of Tool possesses, there wasn't a single song on this album that got stuck in my head until I had listened to it at least half a dozen times. Great music isn't always catchy, but catchy is what...ahem...catches attention.
I got the deluxe cd today!
It got crushed in shipping. So pissed. Am I really gonna get a replacement copy if I complain or what?

I sent a complaint email. I want a partial refund or preferably an entirely new replacement copy damage free. So pissed!
