^They played that for Ilan's 21'st birthday on stage when the topless ladies gave him a cake.
Blind Vlogger Tommy Edison showing how he organises music, and he does a good long shot on Broken.
I asked Rob how'd he miss the part where the cake dropped, and he joked that he'd be horrible at filming porn or something.
Anyway, there's more videos of Rob onstage filming NIN out there. There must be a nice archive just sitting somewhere. Not to mention all the pro-shot footage from the last few Wave "Goodbye" tour.

What's the bet that kinda stuff gets brought out in preparation for a new tour?
Although, guess there's not much merit in bringing out footage of a LAST TOUR EVER right on the eve of.... another tour.
Just in case anyone has missed it, looks like Rob has been uploading a couple more video's to the NIN Vimeo channel.

The Still CD is on sale at the NIN bandmerch site if anyone's interested: http://store.bandmerch.com/nin/produ.../still-cd.html
Buy it from @heavenly_bearded on here instead. Only $5, last I heard. He has tons of them. (Hundreds... new, sealed, official.)

^indeed
Anyone want to buy a case and resell them on ebay? They still sell for about $20 even though they are back in the store...
17 Ghosts II
so, here's a quote from a new york daily news review of the new Bowie album...
"Other songs recall the angular work of Bowie associates like Robert Fripp, in his ’80s King Crimson days, or Trent Reznor, slamming in Nine Inch Nails."
umm... there are no guitar sounds on the album that make me think of TR or NIN. I am quite enjoying the album though. anybody hearing any nails-like guitar?

News to me... :/

so all you people hoping for a Murphy/NIN tour...dont think that will be happening any time soon
I know it's included in the search results above, and I believe it was mentioned awhile back on the old ETS, but here you go anyway:

Over the weekend, Reznor posted two videos, highlighted by a rarely seen documentary of Nine Inch Nail’s “Self Destruct” tour. As Spin notes, the 75-minute film was previously only available on the 1997′s Closure VHS, and includes cameos from David Bowie and Marilyn Mansion. It’s also NSFW.
The other video is in the form of an acoustic performance of “The Becoming”, which originally appeared on Still, the bonus companion to 2002′s live album, And All That Could Have Been.
Trent is mentioned in this article about "Call Me Baby" (not related to the HLAH mash-up):

I had no idea about Ogilvie's work for this song, did Vrenna know this when he got (kind of) mad about "Call Me A Hole"? XD
On Fatman in Batman podcast with Kevin Smith, composer Christopher Drake mentions his admiration for Reznor a few times after the 16 minute mark.
I figured this would have already been posted here. Since it hasn't, here you go. Something I Can Never Have much? Credit to @MissBaphomette for bringing it to my attention. I'm convinced it's the version from Still here and there underneath some other music. Or someone else's music that just happens to sound identical (heh)? Thoughts?
Hmmm, maybe, not totally convinced. The notes are correct, but the timing seems incorrect! It definitely could be though!
What the hell is with Pitchfork's love/hate thing with Trent these days?

this piece is practically gushing
They have continually gushed over him in recent years' stories. It's just the music reviews that don't gush. Helps prove to me that they keep a healthy separation between those two functions of their publication.
In the Radio 1 versus between Jared Leto and Zane Lowe, Jared played 'Closer', stating if he got married, he would choose this to walk down the aisle!
He and Zane then went on to discuss Downward Spiral for several minutes, stating it one if the best albums ever, up there with Dark Side of the Moon.
Then they talked about Trent for a few minutes, and then moved on to talk about, bowie, and prince, of all people!
Sweet.
I am pretty confident the breakdown in the new Junkie XL song Katshing! is sampling Ghosts 8. It is just drums after all, so it could be just similar samples and whatnot, but the general feel and background texture is right.
Junkie XL – Klatshing!
