I was listening to music while browsing the forums on my phone earlier today and I thought the noises were part of the songs. I spent about 20 minutes baffled at the incongruity of the sound effects with the music before I made the April Fools connection.
To be fair, there was a bit of lag on my phone between scrolling and the noises triggering. And being off work for a month on parental/annual leave has made me lose track of time.
Still, well played ETS.

I thought I had another window open at first that was making the noise. Then I thought my speakers were playing up so I turned them on and off a couple of times. Then I loled.

I don't have speakers on my computer (long story--don't ask) so when I want to listen to something I put on my headphones. So I read about that farting thing and I was thinking "no way* then, I just had to listen.
