Does anyone have a copy of that meme where a scientist is standing next to a huge pile of papers and a sign that says something like “these studies show vaccines are safe” and another scientist is standing next to a sign holding a paper that says “this one says they’re not” and the person grabs the paper from the not safe scientist and smiles?

.. I've woken up in worse places without crack.

Reminds me of East Hastings/Vancouver, though. That was a new mindfuck every day, passing by downtown eastside.

While I was watching it I couldn’t tell if I would burst out laughing or just do the little “heh” thing and move on, but as soon as his head popped out and he started talking I just lost it, lol.

They've got an "I bleached my asshole for this" t-shirt in black, navy, or dark heather if you're interested.

Also, I kinda want to sell my Monster mini fridge that I definitely did not obtain using Cranking The Hog reward points.

It certainly was a weird random experience when watching that video on mute while "isn't everyone" is playing in the background, on loop.

I love that a woman won the "Cranking the Hog" contest. Equality does exist! lol

this is way more horrifying than it is stupid. they strap rare-earth magnets to your teeth so you can't open your mouth.

DentalSlim Diet Control is an intra-oral device fitted by a dental professional to the upper and lower back teeth. It uses magnetic devices with unique custom-manufactured locking bolts. It allows the wearer to open their mouths only about 2mm, restricting them to a liquid diet, but it allows free speech and doesn’t restrict breathing.

Or... you could just eat healthier and exercise more. But I guess that would be too easy?
Sometimes I catch myself reading such articles like 2 or 3 times over, thinking hard if I'm missing the prank..

Well, that's easy for you to say, but there are people who struggle with this. I have a friend who needs his gall bladder removed, and his doctor is putting him on a liquid diet for two weeks prior. One could say he should make an effort to overhaul his lifestyle and get healthy, but I try not to judge.

He has serious pain that needs treatment, and eating healthier + exercising isn't going to take the weight off in two weeks. If he doesn't do the liquid diet, he's just supposed to suffer while completely changing his lifestyle for a few months to have surgery he needs now?

That said, I find the mouth magnets horrifying. Where the hell do they come up with this shit?

Medical reasons are always an entirely different story, and I don't think this is what this device is about. What's going to happen once you remove these magnets?
Even stomach staples are a last resort in medicine. The first choice should always be diet and some exercise.
I never judge a book by its cover - in my early 20s I was ill to the point where all I could keep down was herbal tea and soy yoghurt with a bit of banana mashed into it. Doctors called me everything from "just stressed" at best to "anorexic" at worst until finally, after a never ending ordeal of hospitals and specialists, one figured out my ferritin/transferrin levels were playing havoc and my body refused to take up any iron.

I know I'm getting old, my body reminds me, but it's another thing to see something like this and have it spelled out. holy shit.

Conan and Andy put spelling bee champion Sarah Hughes' (aka Scarlett Johansson) skills to the test.
edit: the unintentional pun of "spelled out"...
