A green apple. I'm still hungry
Just finished the best salad I've ever eaten. Spinach, goat cheese, strawberries and orange slices, almonds. Uuuunnnngggggh.
Rowntrees Fruit Pastille Ice Lolly. One of the greatest things ever and a staple in my freeze compartment, all year round.
potato wedges with sour cream and salad
Ate super-healthy at work yesterday when lunch rolled around:
- A cup of carrot/celery/spinach/parsley juice which was delicious.
- Sushi (appetizer sashimi, tuna roll, 1 x chopped scallop sushi). Also delicious.
The day before also had fresh veggie juice involved, and a staggeringly good beef/salami/roasted garlic burger from Vera's Burger Shack.
I just had cooked food for the first time in like 4 days. Home-made spaghetti and meatballs. Holy fucking shit, best thing ever.
(Almost) Free food - eggplant, tomatoes, cucumbers from our garden. Cooked in an Indian subcontinent way. With rice.
Made a dashi tonight to go with tomorrow's ramen dish.

Wow - Yum
Mango nectarines. I saw them at the grocery store and they looked interesting. They're really good.
A hot girl turned me onto these. DAMN YOU, HOT GIRL!!!!
Same as my post from last Sunday (eggplant, marinated cucumber, tomatoes all from garden), with the addition of asian marinated green beans (also from garden), and cauliflower (not from garden), dal, and rice. Sunday is kind of the big cooking day each week.
boiled chicken breasts and salsa...so good.
I just made an angel food cake with berries and lime whipped cream
Right this very second: Watermelon.
Taco salad!
Possibly too much brie, but damn it's delicious, I couldn't stop!
Peter Pan peanut butter + Cheezitz, snack of the gods
I made the best nachos I've ever eaten for dinner tonight, basically it's a scaled-down version of recipe but with a few tweaks:
1/4lb ground beef
1/4lb bacon
1/2 bag of Gucamole-flavored tortilla chips (instead of friend potato slices)
2 sliced jalapeņos (I love spicy)
Mozzarella cheese (I forget how much, I used lots though, you should probably just eyeball it to whatever you like)
didn't make or use any Guac but smothered it all in sour cream and salsa and topped with saute'd japaneos, best fucking nachos ever. The amount I made still serves 2 people, I have no idea how that Epic Meal Time dude is still alive.
Some of my favorite combinations as follows. And they're all junk food.
Two slices of pepperoni pizza with root beer. (I also like pizza with mushrooms and onions.) I actually used to be able to wolf down up to 3 to 4 slices of pizza back when I was 18 and 19. As of now in my late 20s, 2 seems to be the normal limit for me as the 3rd slice gives me that full feeling. (With the exception of being really hungry and skipping a meal or two.)
Chocolate ice cream with root beer.
Gatorade/Powerade with Jack Link's Beef Jerky/Slim Jims.
Slim Jim beef jerky with Sun Chips.
Junior Mints with iced coffee or Arizona Green Tea with Ginseng and Honey.
Monster Energy with Angry Birds gummy candy, or any type of gummy candy or gelatin.

@Kris Pizza with root beer is some of the best! I just had that recently, if I remember correctly. And yeah, most of the time, two is my normal limit as well.
Eating now: a pre-made chicken enchilada (sooo good), refried beans with cheese, and white rice with salsa. Mexican food ALWAYS hits the spot.
made into sandwiches with ice cream
yes I am on a junk food trip lately...sigh.
dinner however was healthy: flounder and eggplant in the oven+peas+sweet potato
just made a batch of pumpkin cinnamon rolls with maple icing and man are they delicious. now i have to try and not eat them all.
i don't know why thats rotated oddly and i can't seem to fix it. just turn your head sideways.

mango salsa by the spoonful. Just the right amount of sweet and hot.
My downstairs neighbour just got a bunch of apples from his brother's apple picking and he asked if I would like some since they have so many. At first I refused because I don't eat apples much myself, but then I thought "APPLES PIES!!" So I'm going to be making a couple apple pies for them (well, one will be for me). I can't wait!!
edit. APPLES PIES. APPLES PIES! I'm starting to talk like the 5 year olds I work with...
hey anyone have a roesti/rosti recipe you want to share? i tried making one with raw potato/egg/flour (and forgot the flour, lol) and am now trying a parboiled one with no egg and flour. please pm if you have one, particularly if you were raised by germans. thanks.
so i have been utlizing this cook book in which you "hide" vegetable purees and fool your fussy children (or fussy adult self).
successfully used the orange puree (carrots and sweet potato), the white puree (cauliflower and zucchini) and now am attempting the green puree (spinach, peas and broccoli)...the orange and white get hidden in spaghetti sauce and the green gets hidden in meat balls.
so far adults and kids rave over the spaghetti sauce, so i can't wait to see how the meatballs work out.
oh, and apologies for any spelling mistakes and lack of initiative to check on them. lol. i smoked so much bud this holiday season i am amazed i can feel the ground beneath my feet.
also tried a chocolate mousse recipe that is based on raw avocado. it fooled my son. rawk on.
