Seventeen Seconds, Faith, and Pornography are the real trilogy to me. It's just such an amazing progression of a band going from bleak to grim to the darkest pit of despair. Those albums are all pretty minimalistic though, compared to the lush soundscapes of Disintegration and Wish. The Head on the Door and Kiss Mex3 are essential albums.

The Top is amazing to me, if not for the fact that it exists at all given Robert's drug usage/exhaustion at the time. It's very much a psychedelic pop record (with some absolute bangers thrown in like Shake Dog Shake and Give Me It) and kind of an underrated gem in their catalog for me. I'm not sure I would recommend seeking that one out for a first time listener but it's in my top 5 Cure albums for sure.
