    God, honestly.

I went to the first Montreal date. Wish I could have been to both.

I think this is easily his strongest batch of songs since the heyday, and he knows it, and wants it to be perfect.

This tour was such a huge success that I'm hoping they will be back soon, perhaps after the alleged (haha) new record is released.

Had a blast at the 2nd night in Atlanta and was so happy that I got a chance to hear Disintegration again. I hadn't seen the band since the 2000 Bloodflowers tour an they still manage to pack one hell of a setlist. My only gripe with the show was the fact the keyboards were so quiet!

The common coldplay. Also other terrible disease ridden filth such as Sheryl Crow and Taylor swift.

    https://98kupd.com/the-cure-earns-highest-grossing-tour-of-career-with-shows-of-a-lost-world-north-american-outing/

According to Billboard, the outing earned a total of $37.5 million from 547,000 tickets sold. In addition to besting all of The Cure’s international tours, that figure is more than double the $18 million Robert Smith and company brought in during their second highest-grossing North American tour, which took place in 2016.
Shows of a Lost World marked The Cure’s first full headlining run through the U.S. since that 2016 tour. It kicked off May 10 in New Orleans and concluded July 1 in Miami.

So what music do you think will come out first? New Cure or new Guns N' Roses?

Fuck it. There is no new album. Let's just make our own. Use Join the Dots and only Join the Dots to make a 10 track playlist of the best possible album that can be made from that collection.

Also, if you do not include Burn and This Twilight Garden you are wrong and are disqualified from the thread for eternity.

Try and make it sound like a cohesive album too. You might want to include Pillbox Tales, for example, but next to the better production on some of the later work it just isn't going to come off smooth. I'd also shy away from remixes of tracks that appear on other albums.

Going to have to put some thought into this myself when I get the time. Lots of underrated stuff on there.

I’m going to do this totally blind not looking at JTD track lists plus being partially drunk on top of it. 10 tracks? Ok

01 - Just One Kiss (Extended Mix); my favourite Cure song so I have to have it as #1, despite the extended version not being on JTD
    02 - Play
    03 - Adonais (“eternity awaits us all…”)
    04 - To The Sky
    05 - Fear of Ghosts
    06 - Burn
    07 - The Big Hand
    08 - This Twilight Garden
    09 - Waiting
10 - Ocean (always thought this would be a perfect closer)

That's a good list. I've got it narrowed down to 15 now and most of what you include is on my list. No Just One Kiss on mine because I count Japanese whispers as an album and I'm leaving out tracks that appear elsewhere. Already cut Adonais and The Big Hand because they are just too similar to some of the other tracks. No Waiting on mine either. This is actually really hard, but there's a great album in here somewhere.

    Edit:
And here it is. If this really were an album it would be on par with KMKMKM and Head on the Door. Each track here brings something the others don't and it flows really well. Insane that a band can have an album this good made up of B sides. Cutting it down to 10 was nearly impossible but the result is a 10/10 album.

    1. To The Sky
    2. A Foolish Arrangement
    3. Sugar Girl
    4. 2 Late
    5. This Twilight Garden
    6. Scared As You
    7. Burn
    8. Ocean
    9. Fear Of Ghosts
    10. A Chain Of Flowers

I would happily use that (tracks I didn’t select) as an accompanying EP!

Ironic how something as gorgeous as To The Sky has never been played live and appeared on some obscure Rubaiayat (sp?) CD back in the day. And indeed Chain of Flowers.

Wonder why Burn only started being played live in 2013 at Voodoo and has basically become a set list staple since?

Good question about Burn. Maybe Robert Smith threw on The Crow one day and was like "fuck I wrote a damn good song didn't I? It's going in the set!"

I listened to my list twice today and now I'm debating where I'd rank it in their discog. It'd be up there. It's for sure better than WMS and in an alternate reality the band sat on these recordings instead of putting them out as B Sides and this is what followed Wish.

I always wondered if it was something that Reeves advocated for once he joined.

    That makes sense!

Reeves does rip it up on Burn live. Have enjoyed it every time I've seen them play it.

They'll announce Robert's unreleased batch of kazoo solos before the new album, I swear.

Robert's words are so hollow. Songs of a Lost World is never coming out just like 4:14 Scream, 4:26 Dream, The big Cure documentary, and everything else in between.
