I'm shut out so far. As I'm already super depressed due to medical issues, maybe this is finally the push over the cliff. Kidding.....sort of.

Finally got the 'you're off the waitlist!' text at 2pm, scored a pair but damn half the arena was sold...but I'm old. I'll take a seat along the side of the arena for the 3hr show lol. For comparison if anyone's interested, pair of seats ran me $388 CDN.

I got the "off the waitlist" text, too. All the good seats were snapped up, so I grabbed a pair of upper level tickets for $20 each. After fees, it was like $75 total for the pair.

I actually scored tickets through Ticketmaster this morning without a bunch of bullshit for the first time in forever.

Hell yeah I'm going to see The Cure.

I got a text saying I had a spot in the waitlist for the Maryland show, but when I got in, the only thing available were lawn seats so I passed. I guess I'll try my luck on Friday. Is that when the public on sale is?

Yep. Only thing is I’m not sure how it works with the verified fan sale setup. Normally, presale tickets aren’t ever the best seats in the house, but rather a way to ensure you get in regardless of how fast the general sale allotment sells out. But with this verified fan sale setup, as well as Robert saying he was told by Ticketmaster that they’ll sell fan sale tickets ‘as long as people are buying them’, by the time the general sale comes there will possibly be ONLY those shitty seats left. When I got in four hours later today after being on the wait list, the place was legit half sold out…with NONE of the best seats left at all.

In short, if a specific show’s fan presale was hot enough, the whole damn thing could be all but sold out by the time the general Friday sale even arrives. Good luck!!

I got off the waitlist 8 hours after they went onsale. Went through the bs only to get "no tickets available online". Seriously bummed about the situation.

I have yet to get off the waitlist for NYC - and sadly I had to resort to Stubhub to get in the door for all three shows. While I didn't pay HORRIBLE prices, I definitely paid at least 50+ over face value for all three nights. In this instance, I'm grateful tickets were able to be transferred easily, otherwise, not sure what I'd be able to do to even go to ONE of the shows at this juncture.

I appreciate the attempt and know he's trying his best, but this is one of the worst, if not the worst ticketing fiasco I've had to date... This was not the right solution.

Ticketmaster set him up for a fall. I know other pretty hard core fans (I'm one of those) that got screwed with no tickets.

I registered for 5 shows and was waitlisted for all of them. Have not received a single code. I always jump at the opportunity of going to the Cure gigs as they are a favorite, so yeah, super bummed out right now. It was the right idea executed like shit by ticketmaster (no surprise there).

Fortunately, I was able to time a couple of their shows in Europe last fall with my vacation... but it would be a lot more convenient to see them relatively locally.

There is a 4 day break on their tour schedule between SF and Seattle, maybe they will come visit me in PDX. (HA!)

I'd love to see them in Bend but it's too small for them. Love that venue! Keep checking. I went back in this morning & got some really good seats for Seattle. I'm right by the stage, a little bit up. As I can't stand for a show, these have no one in front of me. I paid $220 for the pair including parking. Not too bad. Word is they are nuking tickets on StubHub etc & now those tickets are for sale again.

Ahh, Bend would be great! That was such a good venue experience for NIN last year. I would way prefer the haul to Bend than going to Ridgefield, which is where the Cure played last time they were here.

I went to NIN in Bend & Troutdale. Bend was way better as a venue. I saw the Cure in Ridgefield & that was an awesome show. Went to the Cure in Vegas in 2016, too. I have disabled parking which helped at Ridgefield. I started heading to the exit during the last encore & as soon as they were done I was out the gate & at my car. I was thinking about Vancouver for the Cure but I can't do shows 2 days in a row. It was nice there was a day between NIN shows. I got to the hotel & chilled out in the hot tub & recovered for the show the next day. The drive home was brutal though. I was hurting for days after that. Probably should've stopped in Portland but dopey me did Bend to Seattle in 1 shot. Don't know if I could do that now.

Wow Robert went to bat vs Ticketmaster and got everyone automatic $10 refunds per ticket, to be issued ‘soon’. Also some tickets were opened up in almost all markets tomorrow for the general sale. I kid at the guy but damn, Robert laid the smack down on this one.

It's $10 a ticket for the lowest price, $5 a ticket for everyone else. Pretty cool.

What an utter shit show. I love how I get onto the ticket selection page and there are "face value exchange tickets" for $300-500 each. Right, that's how much they originally cost? Of course that as after I got in the cue 15 minutes before and verified with the code sent to my phone, and then it wouldn't let me buy any tickets saying I needed to log back in. Glad this didn't happen to me with the NIN tickets last year, but this is still a bummer.

Tickets face value topped out at about $100. I paid $65 for some great seats. Tickets on the resell sites got yanked yesterday & put back for sale. I would guess something similar is going to happen with the tickets you saw.

These are the tickets and prices seen via Ticketmaster, not other sites like StubHu (which is Ticketmaster I know). So Ticketmaster is allowing tickets to be resold for more than face value when I thought that was the situation Robert Smith said they were going to avoid. Maybe that was just the fan presale tickets and not general onsale tickets? Even so, I got in there at 10:04 and prices were already at least triple face value. Either way, looks like I'm not going. Glad this didn't happen to me when trying for NIN tickets last year.

I was thinking after I did my post. Were you trying to get tickets for NYC, Chicago or Denver? Those states all have laws protecting scalpers. Some big money must've went down to get those laws approved. Sorry you didn't get tickets. I bought my NIN tickets from the resell on TM & StubHub & didn't pay a lot more than face for them. Of course those were the Oregon shows. Bend especially is a good sized town but not that big. They do have a fantastic venue there though. Hang in there. Now that the Cure have seen the demand is there maybe they'll be back for another round.

Try this site. Only sells tickets @ face value. I know there was a MSG ticket up there earlier.

I was trying for the Columbia Maryland show at Merriweather Post Pavilion. I'll keep an eye on Ticketmaster and StubHub and see if I get lucky, but I'm not really interested in paying hundreds per ticket.

Try link below. They only resell at face value. This was posted on The Cure Community Fan Forum.

Looks like there are going to be 3 more shows. Details being worked out. 1 is a done deal & the other 2 are imminent. Maybe an announcement tomorrow. No idea where at this point.
