No Devotion (Former Lostprophets members unite with Geoff Rickly)

So this is No Devotion... Former members of Lostprophets and former front man Geoff Rickly of Thursday unite to make some music that definitely sounds very The Curish. I dig the songs that have been released so far... but at the same time I would have liked to hear something a bit more aggressive from the guys. Nonetheless... definitely excited what these guys can bring to the table.

Fuck it, huge Geoff Rickley supporter and good for the dudes from Lost Prophets (even though they were a terrible sounding band) for attempting to not let that shit bird of a singer ruin the rest of their careers. This project actually sounds pretty damn good. Count me in.

Not bad, this sounds pretty good. I never liked Lost Prophets so no skin off my nose for no more of that raping pedophile retard of a singer.

Honestly for me, Lostprophets has a lot of quality songs in their discography and it really is a shame what Ian turned into. Regardless of that, I'm happy to see these guys (Who actually hold a lot of talent musically) to get something they deserve. I'm sure this project will turn a lot of former fans off, but I love it in and out and cannot wait to hear more. They are going on tour at the end of the year with some select dates. Anything Rickly does I am really into so I can only imagine this will be a success. His solo ep's are actually fucking fantastic.

Yeah right now it's Geoff, some dudes from Pianos Become Teeth, Acid Tiger, and then SNL's Vanessa Bayer's brother (for real).

I thought that it was just a rumor that he was on the album.. or at least in some form but was never confirmed because the full lineup never could be. Was an official lineup ever released from that album??

    No Devotion

Figured these guys deserve their own thread. New album is out and man, is it good. I loved Permanence, but No Oblivion, even with the shorter track listing hits differently. They really hit their niche with this effort with its brooding, ethereal, and moody atmosphere. Geoff Rickly and company do not miss a beat after such a long absence.

Great album! So glad to see Stu and Lee able to still make music and do their thing after all the crap they had to deal with in their former band. Geoff getting his life back together and now making new music (and not just touring on old material) is also amazing to see. Hopefully this does well and the band can see enough success to do some bigger tours and continue to create new stuff.

Also, Tucker Rule being in the video for No Oblivion and having his new band LS Dunes release an album in a few weeks is making me want to see him do a Travis Barker style solo album
