You're both wrong. Self titled all day long. But really, every album is pretty great, except maybe Villains which is just ok.

Actually, Lullabies is their high-water mark. It has the most diversity, the most meat on the bone, and the best song writing.

    ...but art is subjective.

Went to the London Finsbury Park QOTSA, bands good apart from the festival organisers poor planning. 30 mins and longer queues for the bar. Slightly jealous of anyone going to see them at the Eden Project tomorrow, that will be amazing.

I decided to finally check out Queens after putting it off for so long and...damn I should have checked them out earlier. Listened to Songs for the Deaf for the 2nd time today and it still blew me away. I feel like I've discovered music that I've been subconsciously looking for for a long time.

That's the one song that led me to listen to more Queens; I'm not really a fan of Queens other than that one song. Saw them open for nin a while back...

"... And we won’t leave until you’re fucked up, high, dancing, making out with somebody and having the best night of your life. ..."

Well, guess what Homme, many of us are fucking old now, and many of us have kids we have to wake up with at 7AM. Sorry, I don't get fucked up anymore.

Fucking musicians, ya mosh pits are awesome but accept the fact that those days are behind you. Or you can start a metal band.

Don't get me wrong, I just saw Godsmack/Shinedown this weekend. Lot's of old people drinking, having fun and jumping around.

Ooo, I dig it. I kind of wish they do this with some more songs. Think of it like "Still" for Queens Of The Stone Age.

At this point, it's clear what a complete piece of shit Jesse Hughes is. I wouldn't give him one red cent, and neither should anyone else if I may be so bold.

The band found leftover first pressings of Lullabies to Paralyze in a warehouse!

    https://store.qotsa.com/collections/...e-1st-pressing

They also posted copies of Peace, Love & Death Metal, but I just can't bring myself to listen to EoDM anymore with how far Hughes went off the deep end.

considering it's not sold out, I imagine there's quite a few people like that.

Bums me out too because I found out about the band through the Desert Sessions prior to the first album's release so I'd been a fan forever. Wild stuff.

So pumped to get that Lullabies first pressing!

On top of that, this baby just showed up in the mail today. Been at the top of my wish list for a while now.

I don't care what anyone says, this is their best album. And it's not even close.

Just received my copy. Was relieved to find it virtually mint upon arrival. I read some people saying the records were slightly warped or the sleeves had some minor wear at worst, but mine honestly looks like a new release.

Good news! I'm pretty much done with QOTSA by now and would love the gang to get back together. On another note: saw Mini Mansions on Monday and thought it was very entertaining once I looked past Mikey acting like a douchebag. Jon Theodore on drums was a pleasant surprise as he really let the floor shake. Cool guy!

Is the one in the Viking helmet shooting 'finger guns' supposed to be Trent Reznor?

Cough, cough... Les Claypool, Billy Gibbons, Dave Catching, Matt Berry, Stella Mozgawa, Mike Kerr, Carla Azar, Jake Shears, Matt Sweeney amongst others.

Frankly, not the most interesting people apart from Claypool. Catching is solid of course. No Lanegan sadly... But as Desert Sessions usually don't let you down I'm looking forward to this.
