I'm not surprised. What were they thinking playing amphitheaters with no supporting acts? Looks like the days of riding the coattails of Rage Against The Machine fame have ended.

Nobody cares unless it's the actual rage against the machine band.

Seemed foolhardy from the start. Whoever in their mgmt or that worked for the promoter that thought they could carry a nat'l tour in such large venues with no co-headline should be fired. This is a 2000-3500 capacity club band. No shame in that.

I thought AWOL Nation got hooked into this tour ditching DFA 1979, which was not cool btw. That tour got cancelled.

I'm going to see them, I love watching Tom Morello.

The publicity/interviews for this project have been horrendous. Whether or not you feel like this is a good idea, it's hard to argue that.

Tim Commerford never helps anything; just keep your mouth shut, please. Chuck D and Tim C were on Opie & Jimmy a few weeks back and it was just embarrassing. I can usually separate artist(s) from their beliefs, but I'm not so sure in this case.

The lack of "Down Rodeo" when they have Chuck D should say a lot.

This new track is sick, and features production from El-P. Good stuff.

What piqued my interest the most is that El-P produced the track.
I really hope this isn't a one off but a start for more things to come.
Specifically a whole album with El-P producing, and maybe some guest artists within El's circle would be phenomenal.

Best Of meaning hits, or Best Of meaning best songs? If the latter, do not ever in your life skip:

Walk unseen past tha graves an tha gates, born without a face
    One motive no hope

and then jesus christ that mosh part at the end? FUCK

RATM 1992 is one of my Desert Island Disks, Cover to Cover. If Bombtrack comes on, the next hour of my day is spent finishing the album.

Edit: Didn't realize how far back my quote was

I gave @elevenism my top tracks for his compilation, but yeah, the whole album is awesome! -not a bad song on it-

The last 2:31 of Wake Up: Yer moshin'. Then the last :56, you're climbing on top of everyone to grab Zach's mic along with everyone else.

    HOW LONG? NOT LONG.

Lollapalooza 2008; air raid siren->Testify crowd instantly shifted 50’ to the middle. Like watching really closely placed dominos tilt one way then back the other. Testify/Bulls/people of the sun, zach stops the show bc people are getting crushed, bombtrack, know your enemy, show stops again...amazing.

They’ve all said dumb shit, but I agree as far as AC/DC goes — love the music, hate the borderline misogyny in their lyrics.

I said I wasn’t buying any more music in boxed sets this year, but I found a great deal on the RATM XX box so I ordered it. Can’t wait to go through it all when it arrives!
