You know, it's been a long time since I've been blown away by a movie. I've seen a lot of movies lately that were really good, that I thoroughly enjoyed, but I can't tell you the last time something genuinely floored me. This movie floored me. It is moving and absolutely beautiful. I cannot recommend it enough.

What the hell is that Rotten Tomatoes rating for King Arthur? This is my first Guy Ritchie film, and its flaws are undeniable, but all things considered (soundtrack, anyone?) it's decent, like around 5-6 objectively. If you go into it to just enjoy yourself could go up to an 8, if you expect the next LOTR from this, then obviously 0.

In any case, even if you can't be bothered to watch this movie, definitely check out the soundtrack as it is pretty awesome.

    "The Handmaid's Tale" on Hulu.

    GREAT book adaptation.

I can't believe it doesn't have its own THREAD.

SURELY going to win Emmy Awards.

@allegro I'm watching the pilot as I'm typing this. 30 minutes in. I wanted to see if anyone was talking about it here.

A colleague recommended this show. Awesome so far.

We are watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer AGAIN. I've seen every episode at least 10 times now.
I never get tired of it.

I joined a buffy forum but they won't even let me swear. Do we not have a Buffy thread here?

Yes, it was a mess of a film. I saw it a few days ago. There was a lot of "What!", "Why?" and "Come On!". It was also way too long, but I kept watching so... there's that.

Yeah, I agree. Something about it just made you keep watching it. I can't say it was a bad movie. I just don't know lol.

It was beautifully shot and quite amazing locations.

So i'm getting ready to watch season 2 of Outcast.
I loved season 1 and Atticus' score was a nice nin bonus.

I don't understand why season 2 has yet to be officially released in the US though.

Mr. Robot is just as amazing the second time around. This show is a work of art, on so many levels - even down to the random little flashes of cameos from musicians/movies/entertainment media I already know and love. Season 3 could drop TOMORROW and it still wouldn't be soon enough.

    Urge to buy...vinyl soundtracks...rising... D:

Edit: JESUS, THE CAMERA WORK IS SO FUCKING GOOD. How were things not so obvious from the start? It uses tons of examples of my absolute favorite storytelling devices - HOLDING BACK OOONE PIECE OF INFORMATION and choosing the perfect time to reveal it, all the while dropping hints on the way you wouldn't have even thought to look for.

I gotta say that the premiere for Showtime's new comedy/drama series I'm Dying Up Here was pretty damn good.

I don't really like Showtime series. I do watch Shameless, but that's gone down hill lately and honestly the first season is still my favorite. I like shows that feel and look more like a film than a TV show. This show has that film look. Showtime series are always so bright and clean and stylized and oversexualized. I hate when a show feels like a show.

Another thing with movies/shows about comedy, the actual stand up comedy always feels forced and not that funny. I gotta say the comedians in this series actually tell some pretty funny jokes. Liking the show, I hope they can keep it up.
