    SPOILERS!!!

i had totally forgotten that it started up again in january so i have all the episodes so far downloaded but i haven't started watching the current season yet!

also, i only got two episodes into the second season of the UK version, because i hated the characters so much. the US version is so much better to me.

Took them a season and a half, or so, to hit their stride, I found. But once they did... AWWWWWW YEAH!

idunno, my fiancee is watching through it for the first time (i'm watching with her) and we're almost done with season one...there are some pretty awesome episodes in the first season. and wesley is actually kind of awesome (i know i'm probably in the minority on that one).

Just watched the season finale of Looking. Probably my favourite show of the year thus far. Too short though, especially for a relatively slow-burn pace.

Yeah, I know what I'm in for but I'm forgiving enough to try everything, honestly. Things I hear say everything went downhill after Season 4.

Big fan of the genre/period, so gave it a shot for the first few episodes. The ultimate snoozefest.

The first season feels like it was shot 10 years before the rest of the series and they basically use the same special effects from the original series, but there were some good storylines and they're fun to watch. I just rewatched the Encounter at Farpoint as it was on tv randomly the other day. I love the way they handled the Q character over the years and in the final episode.

Also, Wil Wheaton killed it on @Midnight the other day.

Season 4 is where the show really picks things back up after the not so hot Season 3. Shit really starts to unravel and you're in for a treat.

Just completed the first season of the Starz show "Black Sails", it was 8 episodes and it has been picked up for a second season. Basically this show follows Captain Flint 20 years before the event of Treasure Island. I'd probably give it the whole season a 6/10.

    -Gorgeous setting and production
-bland characters with the exception of Captain Flint
-The season had a fair share of anti-climatic moments (The whole Charles Vane thing is a good example)
-Story was to all over the place. Convoluted when it didn't really need to be with some of the side stories.

Decent first season I guess. This show has a lot of potential and visually looks stunning so I am sure that will continue on to the second season but they really do need to work on the story side of things a bit. The best episodes of the series were the ones allowed it to be what it was meant and sold to be...a show about pirates.

By the way, the Quay brothers have a book coming out at the end of March that accompanied their recent exhibit at the EYE museum. (Hardcover was available at the exhibit, paperback will be available soon)
