I had to get Dragonforce out of my head so I got stuck in 1979 with two of my favorite albums

i love, love, LOVED beth's ep. and i have loved her in gossip, probably the best band to come out of this region since nirvana.

her new album, as much as i hoped it would be dance floor bliss like "open heart surgery" is amazing so far:

reminds me of music for men.

Saw this and made me wonder when and if they were doing any shows in Montreal. Well fuck me it's tonight and it's sold out.

I would strongly urge you to buy a ticket on the secondary market. They don't do headline tours here very much and they were excellent the other night. Don't blow it.

This is my all time favorite song in existence.
I highly suggest listening to the previous track "Mental Tan" which leads into Gaia for the full effect.
The sound compression from youtube destroys the dynamic range so I suggest actually listening to the record.

I wish that Devin plays it live this current tour since there is no great sounding live recording, yet.
Also check out that amazingly tight drumming from Ryan Van Poederooyen:

After playing Christ Conscious by Joey Badass over and over for a month or two, i finally took the plunge and got B.4.DA.$$.
I was afraid that Christ Conscious might have been a singular thing.
    But i was pleasantly surprised.
Killer, CRUNCHY rapping, nasty breakbeats, turntablism-this kid is doing hip hop the way it used to be done, and it's fucking awesome.
I'm in love with this fucking record! The last time i found a new-to-me artist that excited me was when Acidrap came out, by Chance the Rapper. That was like 3 or 4 years ago.

This is a truly great record and an instant favorite-of-all-time for me. It's SO good.

Not as into this as Chanel, but these Blonded radio releases are becoming more hype for me than any other music this year. Frank + Tyler is such a killer combo.

I fucking love this guy. His work is really stellar, amazing production. I feel his work shines through on headphones due to tracks' spatial effects and reverbs. His music is moody yet beautiful at moments with a strange degraded quality. It sounds ancient yet modern? I love to put his stuff on, sit back with my headphones, and just zone out and let his music take me on a journey.

He released material on Ninja Tune and Brainfeeder, but now has been releasing stuff through his own label. A/D is more beatless, ethereal music. I also highly suggest his album Vessel and The Maze To Nowhere series.

P.S. @DF118 I fucking love Clark's latest album and couldn't believe he didn't have a thread on ETS... so I made one.
