Opiate is great. It's the only release where there's really no mystique or pretense (pretentiousness?) to the band, and it's their most raw/closest resemblance to regular metal at times. Also, Danny's drumming on Jerk-Off ::swoon::

the newest album by Grails is absolutely astounding, but it's also getting me to listen to some of their back catalog that i hadn't checked out before. what a cool band. they're basically what i wanted Cul De Sac to be when i was in high school, and was always disappointed.

One of the few bands I still actually support with my dollars for their music. Supported the making of the record on Kickstarter, the other day got the whole thing sent to me a few weeks earlier than the actual release. Saw them last night at St. Vitus & they killed as usual. Most underrated band in metal?
