We want your homes, we want your hearts, we want the things that you won't allow us, we won't use guns, we won't use bombs, we'll use the one thing we have more of, our minds.

Sparks
I've dipped the occasional toe into the Sparks catalogue over the years, but due to promotion of Edgar Wright's upcoming documentary The Sparks Brothers I've ended up listening to quite a lot. I love it.

Ya boy is the big guy holding the flag at 24 seconds in.
The Armed has been fantastic and a fucking Detroit Hardcore(?) juggernaut since 2009. Its so crazy seeing these guys getting global praise when I can recall seeing them play for literally three people including myself at a dive bar in 2013. Crazy how the shit goes. If ULTRAPOP is even half as good as Only Love, it will be the best record of 2021.
what am I, chopped liver?
Sonny Hate5Six obtained this, cleaned it up a bit and just put it out a few weeks back. I was at this show with my gf at the time and it's right up there as one of my best memories of our time together. Pretty rad this is now out there forever to check in on whenever. There's been another video from this show out for a long time but it's hot garbage. This one ain't perfect, but a great angle right next to the stage and better audio.

NSFW Warning (Nudity) along with old-school industrial stuff.
Brilliant ear candy from the Mael brothers 50 years on. Great video, too!
New The Horrors is pure industrial metal

A fine day for new stuff:
Nothing is a really cool band. I don't know why it's taken me this long to get into them.
Death Of Lovers (which is kind of an offshoot side project and also features members of Whirr) put out an EP on deathwish a few years back that is just like...goth heaven. it's absolutely incredible. then they put out an LP on dais that, while it's very good, got pretty upbeat and less drenched in reverb, so i don't enjoy it nearly as much. i feel like you'd probably like both, though.
strangely, i don't think i've ever heard a song by either Nothing or Whirr.
Really enjoyed the new cEvin Key album, Resonance. Cinematic and dream-time... but if you've been in the tall west coast forests, you know what I mean.
