New Swedish dark electronica/ambient group DNKL...first track finally released and it's unbelievable. If you're in to Massive Attack, Au Palais, etc. etc. then this should be right up your alley...

edit: On the same tip, this track is hot too... 'Here With Me' - Robot Koch feat. Susie Suh

Dont like Sub Focus normally but this is great. Could imagine this at the end of Flashdance or Dirty Dancing or a John Hughes movie, it sounds like a great lost 1980s anthem. Would be perfect for a 1985 summer camp where you have to win the hot blonde jock with the princess Diana style haircut with your dancing skills. and the nerds play synth behind you.

So good, it'll make you question your sanity if you listen to any of the insipid bullshit they put out in the 90s and on. Still maybe the greatest ambient album ever.

they were so fucking brilliant for a while there, i like most of the 70s work and a few from the 80s (exit has its moments). kind of regret missing them live last year.

currently on an obsessive/depressive cranes binge. just another wednesday:

I think it's safe to assume you didn't miss out on much. They've been churning out awful new age garbage for about 20 years now, and everything that made them great was probably last seen on the live album Poland. Have you heard their new horrible remake of Rubycon?

Who knows what happened. I have a box set of their live shows from the 70s, along with a pre-Zeit collection of analog space jams, and it's all so amazing.
