Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Heads Will Roll
I forget how to make it teh video but Demonsmoke by Dopethrone has solidly had me by the balls for the last three days since I stumbled upon it.
Band is about to blow up. As it says on their Bandcamp: "Hipster crushgaze metal with hair on it's chest."
Opening for Periphery & Animals as Leaders this fall. So is Car Bomb, another great young band.
Garbage - You Look So Fine
NIN - Something I Can Never Have
VNV Nation - Resonance. Getting ready for their tour coming up this fall.
Mellowdrone. managed to find Tiger EP at Amoeba.
i love this band. hits me right where The Cure does...
i love these lyrics for Fashionably Uninvited:
When I was young
All of these things didn't matter
But now times have changed
And I wasn't paying attention

Arcade Fire - Everything Now
Deeply underrated indie band from the mid 1980s, UK, Should have been as big as the Smiths or the Cure
the members and sound of As The Sun Sets with a different bass player. Rips.
Stone Roses - I Wanna Be Adored
These guys are such a phenomenal band. Too bad they never got any airplay in Canada.
10 years ago this year. Damn.
Chelsea Wolfe - Vex. Holy shit! By far my favorite female musician now besides Bjork.
So I'll just say it, for some reason I grew up thinking I never liked Michael Jackson's music. I feel like it may have been because I remember seeing "Thriller" on MTV when I was iiitty bitty (I'm talking early 90's) and being absolutely terrified, and then I went all of my teenage and college life never really bothering to listen to any of his songs or seeing his videos. And tonight I was like what the fuck? I like to think I've developed some level of appreciation for all kinds of stuff, and I haven't listened to Michael Jackson since I was a child?
Now I ask, what the fuck was wrong with me?? This shit is MIND BLOWING. Now I feel even more pain for the time this resident at my last job moved out and left close to 100 records behind, one of which was Thriller, and she came by on the LAST DAY before it had to be "trashed or donated" to get them all. Ugh.

Stuck in my head, in a good way, all day:
Marillion, "The Leavers"
i used to have this album years ago, but sadly, i lost it as with my huge vinyl & cd collection, when an ex sold everything whilst i was at work one day, needless to say, we didn't last long after that!
