I know I'll probably catch some flak for admitting I listen to Disturbed, but I don't really give a shit. Their cover of "The Sound of Silence" is absolutely beautiful.

Boris w/ Merzbow – Sun Baked Snow Cave

The entire track (62 minutes) is amazing, but the first 11 minutes with those simple acoustic guitar notes + the light drone ambience draws me in every time.

"Sunken in sparks, I am aflame."

Feuer und Wasser might be my favorite R+ song.

I'm mostly just listening to Frances the Mute over and over again today. It's fucking spectacular.

This is one of the most beautiful albums I've ever heard. Recorded in the canyons near where I grew up while standing in an actual stream, no less. They're after the natural acoustics of redrock canyons in southern Utah (google Canyonlands and you'll get the idea).

I've been listening to a lot of old school Nero lately, and never realized how drum beat they were. Some really in your face very raw stuff... Has anyone ever seen them live that can give some constructive criticism? I'm seeing them in October for the first time.

The Beatles: Let It Be Naked (2003). Way better song order than the original 1970 release.

Factory Records (Joy Division, New Order, Section 25 etc) and Warp Records (Autechre, Aphex Twin etc) if you were to put those two truly great record labels in a blender together this would be the sexy euphoric pumping result..
