So after keeping To Record Only Water For 10 Days on repeat for the last few weeks I'm kinda lost as to what to listen too atm. Though i have been jamming some Cracker lately. Such a good band that most of the world forgot about after Low.

The new single from Omniflux (aka Mahsa Zargaran from Big Black Delta). Been nothing but awesome, free singles from her. The newest, "She and Him" might be my new favorite. Download it for free:

New British Sea Power. Sounds a bit boring, but there's also promise in the second half, so maybe it's not representative.

Just bought this CD. I've listened this once through and I have to say this is one of the best albums of 2011.

I've been listening and streaming Hype Machine non-stop while I work lately. It generally seems to be a lot more hit than miss for me, which is pretty awesome.

If anyone else has a profile on there, feel free to add me - I'd love to listen to streams by other people on here.

This is freaking spectacular. To think these guys once sounded like a synthpop-band.

I love their synthpop stuff, but this album is transcendental. I could listen to "The Rainbow" all day.

yeah, i'm a fan of talk talk, through every phase of their career. don't knock their synthpop, though spirit of eden and laughing stock are truly mindblowing records. don't get the new vinyl reissue of the latter. it sticks an unfinished and unfocused demo smack in the middle of the record, which is a huge buzzkill.

now playing, on repeat for the past few days:

HIGHLY recommended for fans of the soft moon...

If you think this is great, check out Laughing Stock which I think is their best album. I love their post-rock stuff. I wish more people listened to these albums.

Yeah, I've been playing some Laughing Stock as well, fantastic record. I'm so glad I discovered such beautiful music! And just to clarify, I do like their new-wave stuff as well. I just find the transition between the old and new Talk Talk really fascinating, how many bands could pull off such a major change of style?

Anyone who enjoys the aforementioned Talk Talk LPs should definitely check out Bark Psychosis' Hex if they haven't done so already. The absolute pinnacle of "post-rock" IMHO.

    Enjoying these at the moment:
