Hey, at least I recognize some of the names. Guess I'm just slightly old and uncool, not all the way old and uncool.
I noticed if you're not around kids (because you don't have any / your relatives are non-existent, far away or don't have any / and/or you don't work with any) you really start losing touch with all this stuff.
Anyway, dear 8th graders, this is what music I was into in 8th grade.
Was I a misfit? Yes.
Did music shape my life? Definitely.
Did I turn out alright? I guess so. Even though my religious education teacher was very pissed off by my "God Hates Us All" Slayer backpatch and I can't help the feeling that it affected my grades.
Anyways, I quit that shit class as soon as I was legally allowed to. I hope they now offer a more useful alternative.
Since my iTunes is where the three people in the household keeps their music I had a fair number of those songs already.
I really don't know why so many kids have Panic! At the Disco in their requests. I mean, I only put the singles songs in that list, not the frequency with which they were in the requests. and always High Hopes! So strange.

first three are great! surprisingly love 3 even though it's a prequel and selene isn't in it. never saw anything past that but heard mixed things...
but yeah the soundtracks are amazing. the first one was produced by danny lohner (and he did a few score pieces) and has a song by the damning well which was the precursor to black light burns, and was the first appearance of a dillinger escape plan song with greg on vocals!
everyone needs some 80's sleaze sometimes.
What my neighbors are involuntarily enjoying in infinite loop today:
a Depeche Mode day!

Still digging these guys; they've released a couple new videos.
The new remaster of Burn Out At The Hydrogen Bar is fucking outstanding.
It's insane how detailed it is, how much is going on. Go give Jared Louche money.
He's mentioned East Side Militia is next and I can't fucking wait because that's one of my all-time favorite albums.
The new Modest Mouse is amazing. The trumpet in "We're Lucky."
