moses boyd is fucking incredible
Happy Halloween as they say.
Grae by Moses Sumney. This is something incredibly unique... not even sure what genre box to throw this in the general direction of.
Right thread this time?
Yes, I am a nonconformist. I actually like this tune.
The newest Future Islands album is great.
In my never ending effort to share obscure yet wonderful music, I humbly offer this gem:
A damn fine collaborative album!
well, I know what I'm putting on the projector for Halloween next year. holy fuck.
Eep! Haven't logged in in a bit, sorry for the lack of response (re: Neil Cicierega and the Closerflies mashup). He does indeed have a few "staples" that he'll go back to; it's something that was more pronounced in the first couple of albums, as the first one was sort of intentionally structured 'round Smash Mouth's All Star. There's a few other tracks which make repeat appearances throughout, and All Star itself is often used in a fairly "meta" way nowadays. I know that one of his main goals for those things is comedy, and the intentional repetition of stems throughout can sometimes serve to highlight that. (How's that for a pretentious, and month-late response?)
works for me! lol
and the Elfman song is available for purchase at his Bandcamp. Just wish the video was as well.
Why is the new Disclosure album so. damn. catchy. Also, why are the disc 2 remixes so. damn. amazing? Get out of my head. Mali Maliiiii...
Chris Vrenna has a drum programming credit for this track by Butthole Surfers.
Classic FM in the UK. It's mellow and relaxing. It's the only thing that chills my poor terrified dog when fireworks are raging. We are on day 4 of it now. Damn Guy Fawkes.
Listened on a whim and now I'm hooked. Metalcore or not be damned, this shit is so fun and well made. Entire love letter to horror cinema in the tracklisting. Recommend for theater rock/metal fans of horror.
Halloween
