Being a lifelong shoegaze fan how have I only just discovered Bowery Electric? Amazing 90s band, sort of sound like missing link between Boards of Canada, Seefeel, Low and Slowdive

I heard this remix/edit out two years ago and have been obsessed with it ever since:

it's a damn shame that so few people are aware of this album. it's one of my favorites of all time.
it's dark and creepy and beautiful.
it's a strange brew of like drum and bass and industrial and synthpop.
Here is the link to listen to the whole thing

i would recommend that all of you check it out, but i would ESPECIALLY suggest it to those of you who like drum and bass.a

young widows - in my living room

one of two "bonus tracks" that came on a 7" with their last album, "easy pain"

when i saw them as they were first touring on the album a few years back, they played the main 8 songs, this song, the other bonus track "the money", and closed with a cover of "dirt" by the stooges. it was amazing.

Thread about timestealers (long songs) inspired me to "return" to Archive, and I have to agree with myself :-) for declaring CONTROLLING CROWDS as the album of year 2009 at the time. 28 songs (4 parts), and e.g. The Empty Bottle ("Lay down these feelings push them all aside, Crawl out into the light my love I cannot hide, Searching for togetherness on the other side, A thousand bullet holes this love cannot die") or Day That You Go ("Frozen in time, Thinking of you, Wish the pain out of you, Day that you go") are some of the most emotional experiences for me at the moment.

(album version is 7 minutes long)

Kings Of Leon: Only By The Night

I used to think these guys were trash.... but they are actually the only modern rock band that deserves a place in the classic rock pantheon. So much talent, and amazing songcraft.

Except for the racist as fuck song "I Want You" that references a guy who is well hung simply because he's black. I feel like shit now that I heard this lyric.
