Can't believe it's 50 years old and here's something I learned recently. The day it came out, it was also the same day the Beach Boys' Pet Sounds came out.

i don't like their first two albums at all, and i think "the devil & god..." and "daisy" are two of the most perfect and unique albums ever created, and i'm so sad they're returning to this (in my opinion) generic sound

According to this article, "I Am A Nightmare" may not be included in their new album.

I don't know what the new album will be like, but I'm still looking forward to it (and yes. The Devil & God... is a perfect album. It'll be hard for the new album to top that one).

Listening to The Roots' Summer Camp set from yesterday.

My wife and I have seen every major band playing today multiple times, with the exception of Mudcrutch (who doesn't play until 9). Should be leaving in a few hours to catch Ani Difranco, Yonder Mountain String Band, and George Clinton.

I'm listening to the Sticky Fingers and Let It Bleed albums by The Rolling Stones. I can hear some of the influence they had on Guns N' Roses. Besides that observation, I'm enjoying these albums more completely than I did 10 years ago when I mostly only liked the hit songs off of them.

Okay I probably should be posting real music, but this is so awesomely bad its a riot plus I love Boogie Nights.The Sister Christian scene is probably one of the greatest scenes in film right up there with the adrenaline scene from Pulp Fiction.

My favorite moment in that scene is John C. Reilly dancing and yes... the bass was taking away from the awesomeness of Dirk's vocals.

I've never heard drums swing/pop/bounce like they do on The Rolling Stones' Brown Sugar. It's really incredible.
