just listened to MG's "MG". was disappointing and I can't follow all those favorable reviews. It is not terrible and definitely better than the VCMG releases but not that must have synth album some are calling it. today's music business is a mess
Never been a Sufjan fan, but holy fuck does this album resonate with me to the deepest parts of my inner core. I love it, but don't anticipate I'll be listening to it very much because it has me crying more than a baby.

Such a perfect album. Every song is fantastic. Such a gorgeous thing, such a filthy thing, such an expressive and just grandiose fuckin' masterpiece. Power, wealth, fame and ego torn down through personal failure and self-realization. Reaching for more in a culture of excess where no matter how much material there might be none of it's worth quite as valuable as "a good home and a wife and children and some food to feed them every night." Who will survive in America? Blame Game is so goddamned powerful, Hell of a Life is just debauched beauty, every song is just so poured over and detailed and incredible. I'm so much more of a Yeezus person but Dark Twisted Fantasy has the reputation it does for a reason and I can't blame anyone for calling it the best thing he's made.
