Anyone heard of this band? Sounds like they have a pretty familiar influence..

Big thanks @Space Suicide for tipping me off to this, as someone who loves Skold's solo work and had never heard of it. Some of his strongest material by far.
I'm catching up on D'Angelo's new one.
i had originally ordered the vinyl from amazon.ca because it seemed like it would be the cheapest (around $30 including shipping), and then i got notified a week or so ago that my order would be delayed. so today, i went on regular amazon and found it, on vinyl, brand new, from a third party seller for $10 + $3 shipping. score.
I've listened to this song at least 20 times over the past couple of days. The instrumental is so MASSIVE.
LOL why not?
One of these days I'm going to marry this woman:
We will miss you Joe.
First time listening to this in a long time. Way, way better than I remember it being for some reason. It doesn't have the same legs as a lot of other SP albums, and it's still not in my top 5 or anything, but it's got quite a lot going for it, and for whatever reason the production actually isn't a problem for me at the moment. Hearing it in a higher quality rip makes a big difference, too; the first time I heard it was on shit compressed YT quality, and as always that's a bad first impression to get.
I'd really like to see some of this stuff get resurrected live, even though I know it's highly unlikely.
Oh my god. These guys.
One of the greatest record labels of all time. Without this label i really cant imagine Nine Inch Nails as we know it would have existed. Soft Cell, The The, Coil, Foetus, Swans, Psychic T.V, Test Dept, Depeche Mode...what a roster for a label to have. Such a great compilation.
It's a fascinating listen, and a nice history lesson in the Genesis of industrial. For me, it has been an introduction to the likes of Psychic T.V., Test Dept. and Cabaret Voltaire. As well as some interesting contemporary electro-industrial bands, too.
While I've been listening I've been researching the bands and the label itself. So many important releases.
Then final two minutes of this song are just outstanding:
Manic Street Preachers - Judge Yr'self.
Is this real, or ironic?
A friend of mine showed me this as I'm a huge geek for all things bionics/prosthetics and an avid paralamypics watcher:
Although this reeks of mainstream I find it pretty cool to embrace this issue in an artistic way and make it work somehow even with the use of a little irony. The ending is quite something and the song itself became a recent guilty pleasure of mine.
You probably won't be seeing much from her in the future I guess but this is a cool thing for the time being.
Death Of Lovers - Buried Under A World Of Roses
the whole EP is fucking incredible. not at all what i was expecting from a band on Death Wish but still 100% up my alley and absolutely gorgeous.
Uncle Tupelo
