"I sell my soul, my self-esteem, a dollar at a time."

This and 13th Step are, for me at the very least, Maynard's best albums vocally that he's ever put out. I love his voice in general, but for whatever reason it really got some strong chances to sore and shine on APC.

Dislike this album lyrically (even Korn didn't whine about their ex-girlfriends so much), LOVE it musically.

Liebe Ist fur Alle Da, special edition by Rammstein. By far my favorite post-Mutter album, arguably my favorite R+ album overall even. This is one of the few special editions in recent years I can name where the bonus tracks really should have found a place on the main album, and I rarely ever just listen to the first disc. Fuhre Mich and Donaukinder are top-shelf R+ songs.

Also, I've always felt this was something of an overlooked concept album in a way. The entire thing deals with love in all of its forms and perversions, delving into what "love" means to those who are damaged, twisted or malicious in life, from extreme kinks to sexual abuse, love of materialism, love of self, etc. In general it's a very dark look at a lot of subjects that are rarely given a real voice, and it's something I've always loved Rammstein for in general.

Oh, and Liese is lyrically one of my all-time favorite Rammstein songs, indisputably. The few songs they've made that delve into East Berlin and growing up in that era are some of my favorites, and this is arguably the best (you could totally argue that Stein Um Stein is about that, too, and I don't think you'd be wrong).

That is a good song tbf. In my opinion, Korn in 2014 are better (in terms of albums) than they were from SYOTOS through to TPOT*, but still not as good pre SYOTOS Korn, But at the same time, I kinda don't want them to, I'm just happy Korn are making decent to good music again. I know they are not the band that made the Self-Titled album, or Follow The Leader anymore, but having Head back has helped them write much better material than when he left (Because lets face it, in terms of song and riffwriting Head>Munky)
*I don't blindly hate TPOT, I get what they tried to do with the wub-metal thing, and I respect them for it. But if I'm looking for my wub-metal fix, I'll just stick on Enter Shikari, they did wub-metal before, and they do it 100x better than anyone in my opinion.

    While we're on the subject...

There are some wubs here and there, along with the usual reggae-metal tracks. The whole album is a blast. This band is very underrated. Benji Webbe is a kick-ass frontman.

Really underrated and incredible album... It's too bad Cohen didn't like it, but I think it was more for personal reasons than anything else. Apparently working with Phil Spector was a nightmare and it tainted his feelings about the production in general, but really, it's one of his best.

Skindred <3 Its great to see Skindred get up festival bills in the UK, they are sick live.
I always considered them more reggae-metal myself though, so I don't put them with Shikari in terms of genre, despite the occasional wubs. Seriously, the only band to come close to Shikari in that genre is Crossfaith imo.

Mono's double LP they released this year. Really good.

Silversun Pickups- Neck of the Woods. I like it, though I think the thing holding the band back is the lead singer's voice. I think he's okay, but if they had someone with more bite and creativity the band would be so much better. He's the ringleader, though, so he ain't going anywhere anytime soon.

Hammock- Departure Songs. Very calming, ambient post rock with a nice shoegaze influence.

I really love Drive Home (Lounge Version). That jazzy bass.
