Its my favourite piece of visual art. The story does not matter...its an exercise in immersion. I would go so far to say now that its in the top 3 most influential Science Fiction films of all time..along with Metropolis and 2001 A Space Oddesy. Definitely of the the past 30 years.

The Sea of Trees, the best movie I saw this year so far, for me. It doesn't get good reviews, maybe somewhat cliche and predictable, but I don't care, all three main actors are great, and I just love this kind of sadness... and scene by the fire was so intense.

    Yellow, winter. ;-(

    Agreed.

I imagine you've seen Goon? In my opinion the only other hockey movie that comes close as a runner up.

Not yet but it's on my "to see" list. I'm glad to hear you liked it!

After seeing the trailer I kind of irrationally want this to be good.

I wouldn't call Zoo a GREAT show, but it's pretty damn entertaining.
I loved it, too! Yes, it's (like everyone calls it) pretty much ridiculous, but it's fast, funny and engaging. The finale was full of twists, and everytime I was like "ha, I knew this was going to happen", suddenly another twist happened and... whoa.

Spoiler: So, I guess this is the prequel to Children of Men after all, haha.

A Touch of Cloth. Please disregard everything I've said about Angie Tribeca; this is some hardcore parody shit right here. And I've only seen the first episode so far.

Watched the new Independence Day yesterday... you know I do like big expensive explosive movies, but this one was too stupid, even for me. ;-)

i got the score on vinyl a few months ago when mondo put it out, but i haven't listened to it yet because there are dialogue samples and i didn't want to ruin anything for myself. i have the movie downloaded, my wife and i just never seem to have the attention span to watch movies these days, so hopefully we'll find time soon.

Black Mirror has my rapt attention. A show like this has been long overdue. So well crafted and I sometimes forget its TV.

Luke Cage is now available on Netflix. I had no idea today was the release day.

Oh I hope they do too then!

Luke Cage is bad ass so far. This is my favorite of the 3 marvel shows so far.

Rewatched Swiss Army Man last night. I really can't stress how beautiful that film is. The score is so unique too. I find myself tearing up near the end. Brilliant performances by both Dano and Radcliffe.

I enjoyed that, but I don't think it's as good as everyone else does. To each their own though.

The score was amazing and unique though!

Just got back from The Girl on the Train. Nothing new. I'd rather watch Gone Girl again instead.

And the score rips off some certain parts of Gone Girl's... I'm sure they used the GG score as temp music during post. All the more reason why TR&AR kick ass.

    How was it?

That riff at 2:34 is so NIN, by the way.

It was alright; way too much exposition and they're clearly setting it up for a sequel. There were several WTF moments with Godzilla, which was a good thing.

Binge watched The Night of. Everyone is so good in it. It's a difficult thing to watch for sure and I usually don't watch stuff that makes me feel crappy but I couldn't stop.
