Somehow this debate reminds me of Trent’s infamous interview on MTV when Kurt Loder was poking him on Limp Bizkit. “I’m not gonna say they suck...you know it, I know it”.

It is a religious focused channel and the song has a heavy religious context. I've also followed the comments on the other Youtube vids on this channel relating to Maynard (Right in Two, Wings, Judith) and TalkTalk was actually one that many people commenting asked for (I mean I personally would ask for others, like Humbling River). TBH this was not my favorite on the CD, but I really enjoyed the song in concert when I saw APC twice in the fall. In fact it was one of my favs from the concert. Maynard just performed it so well.
Here’s a question. What’s the connection between the band and the octopus? I remember seeing the octopus theme on the band’s website years ago and on tour shirts, then on the ETE cover. What’s the relevance of that?
I don't have an answer for you as far as the significance goes, but I remember what you're talking about from years ago. When By and Down came out and they started touring again, the site got a maritime revamp for no apparent reason (other than By and Down evoking some underwater imagery). It did bug me a little to see that return when the new album came out - like, we didn't bother to come up with any real artwork/aesthetic for the new album; we just took a design from years ago and added Maynard and Billy to it.
There was also an octopus in the album art for Mer de Noms, and 13th Step had slugs featured in the artwork. Maybe Billy just likes molluscs or something.
They always had Octopuses on their stuff, i believe it's kind of a "mascot" to the band, maybe even a Lovecraft reference:
Yeah, Billy does strike me as a Lovecraft fan... nice shirt!
*EDIT*
I just saw this on the Official Store, it's just too cute:

This has @Jaimie written all over it!
Those sold like fuckin' hotcakes at the Kansas show last year
I’ve never seen them before. They are awesome- I want one.
My dog would tear it to shreds in about 5 seconds though. -_-
Finally gave "Eat The Elephant" (red/blue vinyl) a listen... yeah I like it. Reminds me a bit of "Thirteenth Step", in the sense that it'll take more than one listen to really get into it. Quite like the production on it, lush and elegant.
I finally had the time to put together an alternate cover for my Eat The Elephant mp3 files, since the Official one felt kind of cheesy to me so... Snatched the octopus from a T-Shirt and some other elements floating around APC's website and here it is... Thought of sharing it here in case anybody want to use it.

You know, because of seeing this thread tonight, I decided to listen to all of the albums.... Mer, 13, Elephant, eMOT ... that was nice.
I was listening to the album and remembered sometime different about Disillusioned. I realize the streaming version (Spotify/Apple music) is not the same mix as the "leaked" version from a couple of days before the release. I say leak because I don't know the source.
On streaming services, the title track and Disillusioned doesn't transitioned! It just cut and Disillusioned starts the fade in from 0. The guitar at the end (4:40) is also less present than the "leaked" version.
I haven't check other songs, but I am now wondering if the cd version is different?
