Several UK radio stations received the Immigrant Song one track promo.

What's the tracktime on that one? Is it the same as the one from nullco?
2:54
As far I can hear, more silence at the end for a few seconds (no sound, quiet).
Sticker on the back contains info about: http://outpromotion.com/
This is no coincidence, so I say legal.

I don't get why Rooney Mara's being a 'trust fund baby' means Sony doesn't think she can play Lisbeth Salander? Isn't the point of acting to be someone different than you are?
Reading this article about 20,000 Leagues.. Which Fincher is directing next, does anyone think he may ask TR&AR back to score this? Would be an interesting change maybe even involving an orchestra?
Anyone know if the version of 'Immigrant song' with the wall-o-sound ending a la the trailer is available anywhere? I hate how the album version peters out, much prefer the punch to the gut ending from the trailer.
Here are both qualities of 'Immigrant Song', extracted directly from the teaser trailer at trailers.apple.com
MEGAUPLOAD
• The file ending with "h320" is the "iPod" version [1:38.684 mins. / 44.1kHz / around 96Kbps bitrate]
• The file ending with "h480p" is the "high-quality" version" [1:38.688 mins. / 48kHz / around 132.3Kbps bitrate]
• The audio file is the exact same in the 480p, 720p and 1080p versions of the teaser
• These are the RAW .aac files, extracted with eac3to
• Even with Quicktime Pro it seems impossible to (now) extract only audio without transcoding (renaming file extension, exporting, etc.)
• There is a little bit of silence at the beginning (this is when the green "this preview has been approved for..." screen is playing)
I'm watching the Critics Choice awards only because Atticus and Trent are nominated... Kill me...
Sooooooooooo....?
Saw the movie yesterday, came home and bought this from iTunes. Listened to it last night, and again today. Great, great work from top to bottom. It's a solid #2 behind the Drive soundtrack for me.
Imdb says that The Artist won Best Score.
The Artist is pretty awesome tbh - and it's the syndrome of many great films to have the bad luck to come out in the same year as another
I don't know if it is mentioned somewhere else, but this is the other trailer variant with the Immigrant Song.

Just back from the movie.
First opinion pictures versus music:
- music is well edited into the movie (more to the background). As a music lover a little disappointing, but looking at the view to make a movie understandable.
- it's awesome to hear the samplers of the soundtrack in the movie, but for me the soundtrack (3 CDs) stands on his own.
Again, I love the soundtrack (I already listened to it more than to Ghosts + TSN), but after this era (of two soundtracks in row) it's time for something different.
HTDA + NIN releases need to be the focus for the next years.
Edit: I taped the outro with "IYLSE", but it sounds messy. Indeed, the first part of the song is different/quieter; the rest the same as the original.

No double golden globe. Looks like the Artist is going to clean up, maybe it's favor will turn like TSN's did at the Oscars.
