So, um, this happened:
this track is literally the catchiest thing i've ever heard in my life. i like her breakbeat tracks. they remind me of a sweet, female liam howlett.
i probably listened to this song 100 times way back when i wasn't sure that me and my wife were gonna stay together...i hate to sound so cliche but these lyrics actually helped me through that shit.
i mostly love Visions, but a handful of the tracks are kinda trainwrecky for me.
i wish she would make straight breakbeat.
@eversonpoe is right about the live show...not that i've been to one, but i watched a bunch on youtube. and the way she does it is refreshing.
US, UK and Europe tour dates announced http://www.grimesmusic.com/tour-dates/

I was afraid of this. Hopefully other songs are better..
fucking sick. it's nice and breaky and catchy and is ALMOST DnB (think Kosheen...dnb used to be slower, in my day
)
It's a catchy unremarkable pop song, what are you talking about?
I can't put my finger on why I like Grimes so much, so I stopped trying to figure it out and just take her for what she is, a fucking great pop star making interesting music. Can't wait to see her live, London should be rocking!
this new song is terrible.
i really hope the album is not like this.

I was always under the impression that Realiti was not going to be on the album.
As im a lifelong 4AD head I was curious and loved her album from few years ago...She is talented and has a good ear, however i cant bear some of the shit she has been sprouting off on twitter, and in a few interviews,....either way it does not effect my fondness for her music.
Look forward to the new album, i reckon it will be good.
I wonder if it's an actual proper version that was re-recorded, mixed and mastered correctly, or just taken from the exact same demo mp3 file she recovered and used for the YouTube video. Even that demo is amazing though, just curious about it.
I don't like the new song.
New song and video are great.
It's not much of a leap from some of the stuff on Visions.
I just can't make my mind up about the new song(s). The guitar sound is horrible, but the beats, synths and vox are cool. I'll still buy the album, hopefully there's a digipack CD.

The new material is really great, I'm really liking the whole upbeat, more fast-paced style here. People here just seem to be having a knee-jerk reaction to her going for a new style in all honesty
This new track is phenomenal. It pretty much exceeded all of my expectations. After that whole fiasco about scrapping the album, I was scared she wouldn't actually commit to making this type of album, and would go back to making weird ambient electronic stuff, but this track is just solid as hell. The more I listen to it the more I think it might actually even be better than REALITi.
