It may not have been wise for him to share his opinion so candidly. However, each and every statement he said was completely true.

Great news. I guess he was hedging his bets when he said a deluxe version of this (and Deadwing) would come out in 2-3 years.
god damnit. i've already bough it on vinyl twice (although i sold the earlier copy when i got the second one, since they're different mixes and only the second one was SW-approved). that said, it is my fav PT album and the one that got me into them.
Think this will give Trent synth-envy?
Steven done got hitched today. Congrats.
It is scary how much my buddy Tim looks like Steven.
Sadly no date near me but a new record is very welcome and then again... can't complain. Got to see him 5 times by now and interviewd him twice. A very special artist to me although I don't listen to his records THAT much.
Guessing the album will be called The Future Bites. Cool name. The samples sound kind of No-Man-ish. Maybe explains why No-Man came back went in the direction they did.
Cant wait to see more album info though.
Nothing much to say except the back half of "Detonation" really slaps, as the kids like to say.
The live version is what prompted the post.
Curious how Grace comes off on vinyl. I like the track-listing better, putting "Raider II" as the first track of the 2nd disc gives the whole thing more of a flow. At least on paper.
Any word on if theres a vinyl version?

nope just the standard CD tracklisting:

but, again, it sounds so good and the packaging is lovely.
Bummer. I'll probably get it anyway. The first PT I get will most likely be The Sky Moves Sideways. Absentia after that.
And, regarding a previous post. I went and got Grace For Drowning. Fucking incredible. The song listing threw me off a bit with Raider II on side c. Thought it was an error at first.
yeah, it's just because the song is so long that it needs its own side. weirdly i don't own any SW on vinyl, because i love the way he does 5.1 mixes (have the CD/DVD versions of insurgentes & raven, the book editions of grace & hand cannot erase, and the blu-ray of to the bone (which i'm still not that keen on :/ )) but i own several porcupine tree albums on vinyl
