Wow.
13 Ways to Bleed Onstage is a really good album, especially for what it is. Everything else by Cold has been meh, at best. Never in a million years would I have thought they could churn out a good cover of Dream On, but here we are. Is it outstanding? It is not. Is it a hundred times better than it has any right to be? That it is.
Great thus far.
I feel you: tiny little things like that are part of what causes songs to stick in my head forever. And yeah, there's something about this one, for sure. This is one of those songs where at least part of the melody has gone through my head, like once a week, for the past fucking, what, almost thirty years I guess? It's SO embedded in my brain (like a prayer, by Madonna.)
Finally got the chance to give this a spin. I missed this band.
A Place to Bury Strangers - "Pinned". It has a remix album, "Re-Pinned", which includes a remix by our very own @DVYDRNS !
fucking come to church
Cave In's new album, "Final Transmission."
While not their best album, it's still pretty great, and probably their most meaningful as it's the final album featuring late bassist and vocalist Caleb Scofield. His recordings were originally made as demos, but after his death, the band decided to turn them into a full album. This opening title track is a voice memo of a song idea he sent to his bandmates the last time they saw each other.

"Industrial Accident: The Story Of Wax Trax! Records" soundtrack.
Happy with the overall track selection. I had really wanted "Envoyé!" and "Your God Is Dead", the rest was icing on the cake.
I have been digging the shit out of Billie Eilish. The whispery voice and minor harmonies and minimalist production just get me. I know everyone is crying industry plant, but I don't give a shit at this point.
I mean, goddamn. This is so fucking gorgeous.
