Wait, what the hell? How hard is he throwing the microphone? And he did this before, and knocked someone's teeth out?
When I was a kid I loved this song. As an adult I thought it was a mistake to put it on the album--it's childish, big, dumb, macho bullshit.
I've been listening to the remasters, and maybe I just want to recapture my youth, but I really like this song again. Even the dumb vocal distortion thing before the epic rant.
This has a lot of potential:
I think "Atlas Shrugged" is one of the best songs from the Chinese Democracy-era. I don't know why it was left off the album in place of a song like "Scrapped," which I liked, but was pretty off-beat for GN'R. I'm getting real Physical Graffiti vibes from "Atlas Shrugged." It needs to be fleshed-out, but it's pretty awesome.
So sad.
^^ Really? Interesting.
I bought a ticket for Toronto. Have found myself enjoying the live stuff from the deluxe UYI reissues, surprisingly, and it's been fully 13 years since I last saw Axl N' Friends.
Tracii Guns recalls some of the songs L.A. Guns played in their early days that became Guns N’ Roses tracks
Interesting quote:
When I was in the band [Guns N’ Roses], we were heavier than what people know as Guns N’ Roses now. It wasn’t as blues based. It was a little bit more metal. So more straight ahead, more L.A. Guns-ish really.
Bad Obession, Anything Goes and Pretty Tied Up played tonight
Rumour is they are debuting Perhaps tonight or soon…

Axl AI singing "Fall to Pieces"
That's just too weird. Also, if this had been a GN'R song, the melody would have been different. This sort of sounds like Axl singing like Scott.
I wish Guns N' Roses would do what Van Halen did for A Different Kind of Truth. Go through the vaults and pick 12 strong songs that were never released, tweak them, find a good producer and record a new album.
Saw them in Athens last night and had a blast! Axl definitely can't hit his highs anymore and did sound a little muted at times, but otherwise no complaints, he was constantly on the move and giving it his all. Slash is an absolute monster. The rest of the band were great as well. They played 3 hours in the midst of a severe heatwave and didn't break a sweat so to speak. We got our money's worth and then some.
