Not mine (I did tape the whole set however, work you know?) I just love this song so much and was so happy I got to see it!

@SM Rollinger Did you tape Tool's set, too? I'd be interested in hearing those if you're inclined to share!

Yes and system of a down too, from the rail on the right front pit. Tool I taped in the direct line of fire of the stack, about 30 feet away, left pit, and I think that has given me the best results when taping outdoors.

Yeah, I'd love a copy of all three if you're sharing!

Oh of course, I tape first and foremost for myself so I can relive concerts, but I've always believed in sharing tapes freely.

I've been so busy with work since I got back, I hope to have them edited this weekend. I also taped Tool in Lincoln. 4 tapes in 4 days lol

They also had a good sit down with Tobias (I haven't watched watched the full thing yet)

Damn though, that was my first time seeing them last Saturday and it totally reenergized my enthusiasm for this band! Fuckin rocked!

Download link in the pinned comment in the video.

    Ghost
2019.05.18 Chicago Open Air Seat Geek Stadium Bridgeview IL
    IR020

Recorded appx 30 feet from the stage, next to center rail, right side, from the pit

Core Sound Stealthy Cardiods to Tascam DR-05 to Audacity to Traders Little Helper (level 8)

    01 Ashes
    02 Rats
    03 Absolution
    04 Ritual
05 From the Pinnacle to the Pit
    06 Faith
    07 Cirice
    08 Miasma
    09 Year Zero
    10 Mummy Dust
    11 Dance Macabre
    12 Square Hammer

Same as my previous tape, my microphones were failing during this recording. As a result, about 35% of this recording is in mono. I tried to preserve the original stereo recording best I could in post. Im really happy with the way this turned out, as this suffers from none of the problems that plauge the previous tapes I have made outdoors.

    Line Up
    Cardinal Copia - Vox
Papa Nihil - Sax solo on Miasma
A Group of Nameless Ghouls and Ghoulettes - Everything Else

This one took a little bit to get it to the point where I was happy with it. Next up, Tool from Lincoln NE!

Tobias Forge said he can see someone else taking over the lead vocals in Ghost... Uh oh...

    https://consequenceofsound.net/2019/...TTfBY8DrU2RLdk

To summarize it, he says he's always considered himself a guitar player and when starting he wanted to write all the music, but just do the guitar and have someone else sing. Said he'll always be the one to write and record all the music, but might one day step down from singing if the opportunity presents itself.

I can't imagine Ghost without tobias as the front man... I've been open minded with the band and the changes they've gone through up until this, but if they switched singers, I don't know if I would still care. Just wouldn't feel the same.

I don’t think this is a scenario that we have to worry about. The key words in his comment were “alternative future,” but websites like to run with shit like this and turn it into a bullshit clickbait headline stripped of its original context and then everyone overreacts.

I agree, I don't think he'll actually make the switch either.

No new Ghost album until 2021.

This interview lays out Tobias' plan over the next year and a half.
He's going to go back into the studio January 2020 and spend about 6 months writing/recording.

Might be superficial, but Cardinal got a slick new suit.

edit: nah, not at all. The bands gimmick is as important as the music (not a bad thing)

I gotta say. I liked the last two records. But this is pure Ghost right here. It sounds like a b side from the second record. Love it.
