got my target-purchased vinyl today. packed in a sturdy mailer, no damage. hilariously, there is a hand-written (originally blank) sticker on the front of it with the actual artist/album info, i'm guessing so that whoever in the warehouse is packing and shipping orders doesn't get confused haha

can't wait to listen to it tomorrow!!!

I got mine today too and it had the same sticker, but I think it's printed, not actually hand-written.

I got another email from Target this morning advising of a further delay with Vol.1. The notable part is that it required clicking through to my account and "approving" the delay. According to the email, if you don't approve it they'll cancel your order. Be aware of that if you get one of these emails.

OWL HUNTS RATS might be the best track for me, composition wise.

and WATCH OVER THIS BOY the most.. emotionally resonant track. Really astonishing stuff.

Consequence of Sound dogged on that track in their review (which was otherwise glowing, they gave it an A-) and called it "traditional underscore," but I really like that track, too. It's mellow and a bit on the simple/minimalistic side, but it's absolutely more than just background droning or something.

i hope the music comes out on cd and/or digital download. i'm old & on a budget haha. as much as i'd like to, vinyl is a habit i just can't afford. & i don't do the streaming thing. i have plenty of music & it doesn't seem like a good use of the entertainment budget. i'd rather save it & buy some concert tickets.

In some ways they (& a few others like them) are destroying the city. I have a theory that Bezos is actually like a James Bond uber-villian, sitting in his underground fortress waiting to finish taking over the world. Now get off my lawn! BTW: thanks again.

There are other sites selling the album digitally if you're only opposed to Amazon specifically. I just linked Amazon because it was the first thing that came to mind.
