I like Ilan and his music so I was pumped to listen to an interview. But the guy who was interviewing Ilan was BRUTAL. Terrible. Lacked any emotion.

Maybe you were too distracted by the lyrical melody coming from Radiohead?

    Am C D, really common.

The Manson song is Am G

    Radiohead chorus: Em G

Yeah the correlation to the manson song is a bit eh. Open chords are like bread and butter with acoustic.

This article is going to be the end of it all.

(The article does mention halfway through that it itself is a cover, but doesn't explicitly mention NIN).

I wonder if they actually do these interviews at all, or is it at this point just their agent who's basically copypasting the same answers over and over again with some slight variations

“Do you think it would be possible to write something that would be indecipherable from something that actually came out that year, that also could maybe be juxtaposed against the scene of a lynching, and make everyone feel kind of sick to their stomach?” We hadn’t been asked to do that before.
I wonder why. This seems like a request that is so widely applicable.

The NINs are set to be on BBC4 in the UK at 11.10pm tonight as they recap the best of Glastonbury 2000. Which song will they choose to play, Hurt or Closer?

No NIN on the broadcast. I guess they weren't part of the Best.

Fair enough. Turns out there was some stiff competition that year from the likes of The Bloodhound Gang, Counting Crows, and fucking Toploader.

Maybe the BBC doesn’t have any footage that doesn’t involve a presenter shitting on NIN or cutting away to some clueless twat and they’re embarrassed by this?

Weird to see them like this, because nowadays they're much nicer...

that's Adam and Joe, by the way. Adam Buxton has a lovely podcast and Joe Cornish has directed many nice movies - among them ATTACK THE BLOCK

Britain was afflicted with ‘lad culture’ at the time. If he’s a director I wonder if Joe Cornish will ever ask Trent to score a film since he’s ‘not very good’?
