At first when they first showed that trailer, it was never revealed that Kiefer was even doing the voice of Snake yet. That was reveals months later. So, I figured "ok, that sounds like Kiefer". Then he's announced, and i'm thinking what about Kiefer? I'm not sure if the medic has any relevance or not. Why edit his voice when Ishmael sounds identical to Snake? Maybe that's a change in the final version of The Phantom Pain as well. Going to be a very interesting year as we wait. I can only imagine E3 to give away a little more facts as well.

This. But, you also have to factor in the third guy from the trailer when Snake goes into a coma, and Kaz looks over at someone else and asks, "what about him?". Granted, it could be Chico or anyone else.

Yeah, so many questions.

If the medic and Ishmael is the same person why is he wearing bandages after 9 years? Makes little sense for that theory. The voice could also have just been for the trailer, Hideo has done that sort of thing before like MGS 2 showing snake in the Big Shell in place of the oh so popular Raiden.

Hideo answered that about the 'what about him' and he said that was supposed to be about him as the director but I don't buy that. Also I think the way he wore the Ishmael mask will be a hint about that character or some relevance to a theme. He tends to do things for a reason.

I don't think I would bother with a next gen console if it wasn't for MGS.

It's supposed to be shrapnel and bone I think Kojima said but it seems to grow at the end of the trailer. It's metaphorical for a demon's horn and symbolises Boss' decent into a bad dude. 'Kaz, i'm already a demon.' A little simplistic and OTT but hey, that's Metal Gear for you

My guess since Skull Face seems to be hell bent on going after Zero that he's using Snake to that end. Chances are Snake doesn't even know Skull Face was behind the destruction of Mother Base. My theory anyway.
