They've recently reunited and have a new album coming out called "NO".

They're on a tour right now too, and their first show was tonight in Cambridge, MA. It was fucking awesome. So glad these guys are back together. Going to their show tomorrow in Allston too!

I'm a complete fan of Cave In, Zozobra, Converge, and Isis, so I'm surprised I'm listening to OMG for the first time this year! Pretty rad experimental sound - I'm seeing them in Brooklyn on Tuesday.

I hope they do a West Coast leg too. Seminar II was just repressed on vinyl as well. I cannot fucking wait to hear/purchase the new album.

Their short tour is over now. Anyone go to any of the other shows and get the new album on vinyl? I would have gotten it if I had something to listen to it on, but my record player is buried away in storage. I'm dying to hear the new album.

Does anyone know what the deal is with the two CD releases?

The Daymare site appears to say that if you order both of them you get an exclusive DVD but I have no idea if the two CDs are different in any way.

The leak has only has the first 8 tracks and not in the order stated above. Amazon list Ape of God and Ape of God II. Excited for more material.

as funny as i think the stickers are, i'm a little pissed that the records didn't come with downloads, since the only one i can find is the fake one they released to fuck with the press.
anyone have an actual digital version they wouldn't mind sharing in a PM?

no worries! i actually finally found one that's the real album. thanks so much, though.

also, holy shit, this album/these albums is/are amazing. i listened while starting to read the first hunger games book which made it feel even bleaker than it would have normally.

In related news, Brooklyn Vegan posted Kurt Ballou's list of his favorite 2014 albums that he had a hand in recording/producing/mixing and Ape of God was his first mention:

"Old Man Gloom - Ape of God. The hijinks and shenanigans that took place during the release of this record hopefully provided their audience with a tiny glimpse into the misery I experience when working with these idiots."

Ooh, I was hoping a new press of Zozobra would happen. Gonna investigate that puppy right myow. (Easily one of my favourite things related to Aaron Turner, and, I think, a prime summary of OMG.)
