My man Ihsahn's newest single is fire. Further proof of all Norwegian black metal, Emperor was the best and most talented band.

Light This City are back too!
still can't decide how i feel about these guys, but they seem like interesting people at the very least. https://www.revolvermag.com/music/ou...gh-death-metal
hahahaha poor death metal tim...Netto was working at the Guitar Center in Lawndale, California, when he heard about a drummer known only as "Death Metal Tim." "I was given that name because most people I was around were heavily into punk and hardcore," Gaskin explains. "I absolutely detested those genres and the nickname alike. I was just a black guy who was into death metal and it was unheard of at the time, I guess."
Its not bad, gives me an actual Death Metal vibe.
@Prettybrokenspiral
Managed to nab a picture disc vinyl of Ordo Ad Chao. Read a few reviews that it sounds like dogshit but hopefully it’s typical lo fi Black Metal production dogshit. I can tolerate most picture discs. We’ll see!
I need Abbath but not bad!
This is the heavy stuff I've been listening to lately^
So Code Orange out of the blue had a puzzle game thing on their website, and the few of us that solved them the fastest got mailed USB drives:
Has their new surprise EP on it. First single is with Corey Taylor...nothing groundbreaking, but I fucks with it.
Three Knives is pretty legit as well:

Seeing Code Orange Kids, fucking VEIN, Twitching Tongues, Wiccah Phase & Trail of Lies on Saturday. Psyyyycccchhhheeedddd.
Those songs are solid. As said, not rocket science, but good.
This last Saturday was my 2nd time seeing Code Orange (first time was with Deftones in 2016) and I friggin love the noisy synth parts.
I also received one of those USB drives! I really hope they keep going deeper with the industrial influence.
Hey guys remember Merzbow?
lol
i have the collaboration between Full Of Hell & Merzbow (it's quite good) and, while it's the only Merzbow release i have, discogs "upcoming releases" section for me is basically constantly filled with his shit because he releases something almost every fucking week. it's ridiculous.
I don't know how heavy this is by this thread's standards, but I've been blown away by Zeal & Ardor. It's a combination of black metal, blues, negro spirituals, with a dash of gospel. It works so much better than you expect it to.

Cool to see the Code Orange and Harm's Way guys being so into NIN & Type O Negative. Two of my favorite newer bands repping my two oldest favorite bands.
Anyone else here get anything from Holy Mountain? I've spent many a dollar and have never been disappointed.
New Revocation, and it's sick.
i just played every clip posted here for a least a few mins, all garbage. jesus, heavy music is fucked if this is the future....blast beats and cookie monster screaming. where's the groove?? where's the next great heavy band to pick up where metallica, slayer, megadeth etc leave off???
Right now Power Trip is the only hope.
