if y'all need something to do today to distract you from the world, my new album is streaming in full over at Astral Noize

An artist without an easily-defined sound might be a music writer’s nightmare, but they’re often a delight for any fan in search of something fresh and innovative that’s capable of surprising them. For ten-years Mae Shults has been releasing music as Everson Poe, not so much fighting genre boundaries as ignoring them completely, exploring themes of gender identity and mental health through an ever-changing myriad of sounds. This year, Shults has already released three albums, each with a very different style, and they’re now poised to release their fourth through Trepanation Recordings.

Rituals stands in stark contrast to nusuth‘s calming electronica or Reviens À Moi, Sang De Mon Sang‘s experimental post-punk, opting for an expansive blend of post-rock serenity and sludgy dissonance. It’s a brutal yet poignant listen well worth your time, and we’re thrilled to be hosting a stream of it ahead of release. Check it out below.

Anyone happen to check out the live stream The Devil Wears Prada did on Friday featuring WRAABB in its entirety and then 3 songs from The Act afterwards? It was a fantastic performance and can still be viewed on-demand through tomorrow (Nov 16) at 7pm EST.

They're doing another one this coming Friday but for Zombie EP + Space EP and then some more songs from The Act. $10/ea or $15 for both.

I can't stop listening to BMTH. The new EP is so fucking good. Watched the "concert version" of the 2016 show from The Royal Albert Hall with the full orchestra tonight and it was phenomenal. And it got me back on Post Human. I can't pick a favorite track. "Dear Diary" is so good but so is every other song. I love the Baby Metal collab.

Two new live streams were announced today (probably a lot more, but these are the only two I care about) for anyone who didn't see them already:

    Every Time I Die's Online Telethon Extravaganza - 12/19/20 @ 5pm EST: $15.00
    Four Year Strong - 12/19/20 @ 6pm EST: $17.98 w/fee

Annoying that they're the same day and immediately after one another (and I've got a feeling ETID will be longer than an hour) but thankfully both offer on-demand streaming for 48 hours after the show so there's plenty of time to catch it later.

For anyone who is on the fence about these, if you've got a console, you can stream them to your main TV and home theater. I did that for both TDWP shows and the Architects show at The Royal Albert Hall. All have been fantastic to watch and it's great to be able to support the bands during Covid-19.

Story behind the lyrics / video is heartbreaking, especially if you are experiencing or have experienced a similar situation.

After a few months of hearing this here and there I have dove into the catalog so far and can say I really dig what this band is shaping into.

Love that they went full instrumental, but some of these tracks desperately need vocals imo. Work all around is phenomenal here.

Love both of these tracks. Desperate Pleasures is one of my top songs of the year, which is hard because there was a lot of great music this year in spite of the shit year otherwise.

Delaware XXX baby. They played a dive bar in my town early in 2020. Sound was total ass but they still were great. New album is solid.

Singer of Mindforce new side project. Several overt hardcore styles interlaced with hip hop interludes. I'd say track 4 Salute would be the one most appealing to my fellow denizens of this thread. Loving the hip hop beat experimentation on the interludes on this demo though. it's 13 minutes total so even if you hate it you've lost almost nothing.
