Dub FX is another artist that I'm a huge fan of. He went through Pledge music to raise money for his new album, along with a charity. I decided to join in a request a cover song of my choice! This is definitely a stray from the original, but if you're a fan of Dub FX, you'll know that it's his own personal style, so this is not a direct note for note cover.

I love Dub-Fx, saw him perform here in Dallas a few years back and met him. Such a cool dude. I was considering trying to get him to cover a NIN song, but I couldn't think of one that would work.

I've seen him live a few times now, he always puts on a fun and awesome show. I picked this one, because I wanted to see how he'd approach the numerous amount of layers that are in it! particularly at the end. Be he took it a totally different route than I expected, which still turned out pretty damn good.

That being said, I would have picked a different song if I had caught this cover prior to doing that pledge:

Kawehi is awesome. Her Nirvana cover is solid too.

I'm the drummer in a band called The Seas. Nine Inch Nails is one of our main musical influences. Here's a version of Reptile we play live from time to time. If you dig the cover, check out some of our original music.

I sincerely don't know what this is covering, so I simply titled it "NIN cover"
It has bits and pieces here and there from several songs, ant it was intended only to be a test track for my new recording method.
If any of you wants to critique me, it would be very helpful. I'm trying to get started into this writing and playing business, and as a drummer... I have no idea of what I'm even doing with the guitar.

Over the past couple days I put together a cover of Into the Void and La Mer called "The Void and the Sea". Was wondering what people thought of it

I'm sure I've heard this cover of Copy Of A by Diane Birch, but I completely forgot about it after what seemed to be a couple of months. I randomly found it again, and was instantly reminded of it, and it really seemed to be a lot better than I remembered it as I would've also posted it in this thread a lot sooner. Anyway, I'm sure it was brought up before, but I still thought that it definitely deserved a place in this thread. (As I checked to see if it was already posted in the previous 4 pages, but didn't come across it.)

I also found it to be very uplifting and moving as it cheered me up a bit too. I also like how covers like these also help me appreciate the original versions even more, as it's a pleasure to see what else can be done another musician's rendition, and as it also helps me see even more good in the original version.

However, I'm sure a big part of that is due to the fact that Copy Of A is one of my most favorite songs from Hesitation Marks.

Wanted to share a couple of new songs we tried. Also recently had a chance to play a set at chicagos house of blues too. Had a blast.

I had a try at Somewhat Damaged! It's still a work in progress but I feel stuck right now and felt like sharing. It's my first try at vocals as well.

I never covered NIN, but I did remixes for a long time under the name "nothInc." but stopped, because I sucked AF.
When I am bored and I can't be bothered to photoshop something I do mash ups, where I use instrumentals from song and put Trents lyrics over it
    Here are my creations:
Warning Bass - a mash up between The Warning and Nikki Minajs Super Bass

Me, I'm the 99th problems - Jay Zs 99 Problems and Me, I'm not

Survive so wie du bist - MoTrips so wie du bist (cheesy german pop song) and Survivalism

    hope you like it
