Most fans don't get the love for Saturday Night Wrist, i don't get the hate, it's an awesome album, really moody, dark and heavy; to me that's what the Deftones are all about...
I can't find a good time to listen to albums like "Adrenaline" or "Self titled" but i can always listen to SNW without problem, don't know why, i just do.
Only track i can't get into is "Mein", maybe because of Serj's vocals...

    I'm happy for SNW's love.

To me it sounds like and half-album. Thrown ideas that didn't live up to their potentials. And I'm always thrown off by Chino's vocals. I know he's at his worst, I know they had to hire Shaun Lopez to try to fix it, help re-record the vocals.

I like the reasons why fans love it, I get the diversity it brings, a little bit like White Pony. I absolutly love Hole in the Earth. I really like the 3 last songs. I wish I'd enjoy the rest. Beware and Chery Waves seems like the perfect moody Deftones songs, but it never hit me.

Back then, I really used to hate this album. But nowadays, with some perspective, it's not as bad as I use to think it was. It's a nice collection of songs, and I'm glad it led to the awesomeness of Diamond Eyes years later. Though, I would definitely listen to Eros.

Production and song-wise my fav. album is Around The Fur still. I don't think the band has ever sounded as large sonically and spatially as on that record. Mood-wise, I prefer White Pony.

I think my biggest beef with the last three records (SNW, DE, KNY) is that (personal opinion) they almost sound completely interchangeable with one another. Nothing really sticks out in terms of production to me that makes those albums unique from one another. Moreso DE and KNY than SNW, I suppose.

I dunno, it's like the first four albums they did with Terry Date all sound very different from one another, but the last three all kind of have the same-ish type of vibe. I hope Gore has some surprises in store

Well, okay. I do like lists. The only one of these that's ranked in order is Knife Prty. The rest change positions every so often.

    Knife prty

    Xerces

    Dai the Flu

    Digital Bath

    Combat

    Lhabia

    Rosemary

    Leathers

    Minerva

Another Knife Prty fan too! It's my top favorite of all time! The rest aren't in order for mine either:

    Knife Prty
    Passenger
    Rocket Skates
    Sextape
    Cherry Waves
    Hole in the Earth
    My Own Summer (Shove It)
    You've Seen The Butcher

    Minerva

Wah, didn't realize I like a lot of stereotypical and single choices!

I understand where Stephen is coming from. Like @NYRexall , I appreciate the sexier Deftones songs (Sextape, Entombed, Xerces, Pink Cellphone, Cherry Wave, Digital Bath, Teenager) BUT I'd be lying if I said that I didn't enjoy the heavier Deftones said (Sinatra -this song RIPS-, Caress, Leathers, etc.)

Ahhh, the Escape From LA soundtrack. So many memories. The Sugar Ray song on that disc still kicks ass, also.

I always really loved the song "Gift", and other stuff from Like Linus-era. They sounded like a completely different band then and the recording quality sucks, but there's some good songs there.

Lovers is the bonus track to the self titled album, and I believe that Melanie was a track that was supposed to be on Eros that they were playing live a bunch. I'm also not sure what Hump is though.

Hump is the fourth track on "Like Linus." Can't Even Breathe is an ATF Era b-side. Lovers was a title track for self titled, then they cut the song and changed the name, I think it resurfaced on the Hexagram single.

Melanie is an aggressive, mathy song they played in support of Eros.

I realize putting those on the list probably makes me seem like a filthy hipster, but the way things are set up on my ipod, everything gets listened to about equally, and these are the ones that get stuck in my head the most often.

Not the best audio quality, and Chino's performance is strained, but the way this is shot is somehow totally fitting to the song. Almost pitch black, with minimal blue colours. They never made a music video that had this vibe. And, yes, I know this is an audience recording.

It's from the Escape From LA soundtrack. Mixed by Sylvia Massy! In a separate session from either Adrenaline or ATF.
