I'm in for three days. Great line up. Created an one week holiday in Madrid.
The festival this year was a bad one. Several things went wrong and the organisation was very, very bad. They'll move to another place in the north of Madrid, they will be bigger (70000) and I hope they learned from the disaster this year.
Scheduling bands starts in the evening and goes on till in middle of the night (temperature/siesta issue, I think).
NIN plays the saturday (last day).

Ideal chance to do a surprise gig on sunday in Madrid

Unless a spring/early summer US tour happens, this will be the next time I see NIN. I'm traveling from the US for a Euro vacation that's based around going to this festival. The lineup is too good to pass on, I can't believe that I will have the chance to see NIN, QOTSA, and Depeche Mode all on the same day, I saw Mad Cool already confirmed to someone on their FB page that the 3 won't have overlapping sets. Will be cool to see if any fellow forum people are going, would appreciate any tips on my first trip to Spain.

Wow, Nine Inch Nails and Underworld together at last, and me stuck on the other side of the world.

That’ll be no problem. Great. No London?

No London, no Amsterdam, no Paris...

Pulling off a 3 week vacation in Europe would take some financial wizardry, let alone the 2 weeks i hope to pull off I'm waiting to see if anything else is announced as well. I'd trade in my Berlin tix for a couple of stand alone shows elsewhere around the time of the Mad Cool Festival. I've also noticed that Iron Maiden and Jamiroquai are playing back-to-back nights in Italy in July

Tickets bought and mini-vacation (kinda) planned. I think I'm gonna enjoy this one more than the Prague show, but we shall see.

Spaniards know how to party. Primavera Sound in Barcelona goes late into the night too. The sun also sets an hour later than it should in Spain b/c they're still on German time, left over from their association with Hitler during WWII.

Couldn't love the schedule any more than I do. A legit concern about Madrid is the heat and basically the whole thing is held at night so that's awesome. QOTSA DM NIN Underworld, what a night that's going to be. With this schedule it really shows that headlining isn't as crucial as it is at an American festival. NIN were third on the list for Saturday and they might have the most ideal time slot.

This will be the last NIN show in Europe this year. I'm still hoping they will do a secret show in a small venue in Madrid on Sunday. Wishful thinking, I know

zero chance of that happening imo. They are going to leave right afterwards to let everyone get a small break in before starting the Asian tour.

Correct. It would be announced already if it was so. It was just a (wishful thinking) thought. Today starts the festival. Let’s see how it looks.

My Spanish is terrible, but I think there’s a streaming included NIN.

Yesterday it was horror to get in. At 8:30 pm still thousands of people queuing with 4 miles walk to go. No movement for minutes. Not a good start for this festival....
Let's see what happens today. I got a few nice bands today: At the drive in, Goat Girl, maybe Jack White, Perfume Genius, Alice in Chain, Massive Attack
