i bought AV PC through nin.com (thought it may have come with the actual CD)
although i am an owner of an AV 'digital download' i haven't listened to it yet...
i guess I'm waiting for the actual physical CD to release to have a listen, in the CD player in the car (?)
...do you think this means i have a problem of adapting..?

“Not Anymore” is probably my least favorite on the EP, but it’s really starting to grow on me. I mentioned it when I first listened that I absolutely love the way it abruptly ends and then we’re suddenly in “The Background World.”

ehh ... high speed internet is terrible in a lot of ways. it's pretty mind-warping. whenever i snap back to a little nostalgia and hear a vinyl record or get away from the screen for awhile i'm reminded of this but it's rare now. if you want to hold on to the old days before you could download anything faster than you could even walk outside to your car, there are worse things.

whoever got paranoid at the instagram guy, that was hysterical. reminds me of old school online nin fanaticism. you realize almost no one cares about nin or nin fans enough to troll us right?

I sort of wondered myself if TITP was about him. Did Trent say anything about this in an interview? TITP is one of the more moving NIN tracks I'd heard in awhile.

I'm not a spiritual or religious person but there is an element of that in some of these songs, particularly "The Background World."

I'm not quoting everything I read but to sum up...

a) I think I'm supposed to be "the other guy" who acted worse.
b) Someone is pissed off for going over the Instagram guy and asking for proof.
c) Some folks are really touchy over the subject - they didn't like neither the approach, justification for doing so, nor my thoughts on it.
d) Leprekon666 was the guy who went there and asked for proof.

I want to know why the Amazon release date has slipped so substantially, especially now that there are CDs out in the wild. We'll probably never know why because it's a pretty minor thing in the grand scheme of things, but it's just odd.

I also wonder if there's any weird shit in the booklet.

The initial concept of the album was an exploration of “loss and possible discovery of self, along with alternate layers of reality and perception set inside a nightmare you can't seem to wake up from."

I know a lot of people have posted about this era referencing the WT/Bleedthrough concept, but I didn't know the 2017 mini-tour name and the ending refrain from Not Anymore dates back to that era. The Still-era artwork and sudden appearance of Dave Grohl on NTAE makes more sense now.

Perhaps it's a test NIN team is doing?
Perhaps they are measuring if they can profit more with NTAE vinyl-only for the moment - or - Add Violence on Vinyl AND CD as well.
Then do an aftermath and decide to go for a CD version for the rest of the remaining EPs.
Just a thought.
